Require Summary of Care for Discharge Visits

You can require users to add a summary of care for discharge visits by selecting the applicable visit sets. In the Single Visit section of the NTS Practice Config template, locate the Summary of Care for Discharge Visits setting. Summary of Care for Discharge Visits Select the field below the Visit Set grid. The Visit Set picklist appears. The list displays items that have DC set to Yes in the Visit Type Setup panel of the NTS Billing Config template. In the picklist, select a visit set. Visit Time

You can document the visit time for patients using one of the following methods based on your practice configuration done in the Single Visit section on the Practice Config practice template. If the application is configured to use the start and end timestamps to calculate total time for the patient visit, a Start Time button and field appear at the top of the Single Visit template, and Start Time and End time buttons and fields appear at the bottom of the template. Start Time and End Time fields on the Single Visit template If the application is configured to use manually entered total time, the Total Active Visit Time field appears at the bottom of the template. Note: If you change the minutes in Total Active Visit Time on the Single Visit template, you must reopen Fee Sheet to ensure correct calculations and documentation for the encounter. Documenting Visit Time

You can enter the visit time for a patient's visit on the Billable Visit template. On the Billable Visit template, you can use the fields in the Visit Time sections to track the visit time for the evaluation and management (E&M) coding guidelines. Visit time on the Billable Visit template You can do one of the following to enter the visit time in the Start and End fields. To enter the current time, you can click the Clock icon icon. To enter a specific time, you can click the Down arrow icon icon, and enter the time in the time entry window. If you enter time in the Start and End fields, the total visit time is automatically calculated in minutes and displayed in the Total field. You can also manually enter the total visit time in minutes in the Total field if there are no entries in the Start and End fields. Parent topic: Billable Visits

Record Visit Time Manually

Enter in the total patient’s visit time (in minutes) in the Total Active Visit Time field at the bottom of the template.
