Erasing All Template Entries

On the QuickPick toolbar, you can select the eraser button Eraser button to erase all information entered on the template. When you select it, a confirmation window opens for you to confirm that you want to erase all data. If you select Yes, the window closes and all entries you have made on the template are erased. Refreshing Template Entries with Updates

On the QuickPick toolbar, the refresh button Refresh button updates the entries on the template with any new information that has been entered recently (for example, by others working on the same patient’s chart elsewhere, or through a module you entered data in). Parent topic: QuickPick Toolbar

Assigning Tasks from the QuickPick Toolbar

QuickPicks

QuickPicks are a way to enter standard visit information with fewer clicks, by saving the entries in a template after filling it out for a typical visit. For example, if you ask the same HPI questions for most total hip replacement post-op visits, you can save those questions as a QuickPick, so that when you click the QuickPick for another encounter, it fills the template based on what you saved, and you can then make just a few changes for that specific patient. Many NextGen® Orthopedic Suite templates have the QuickPick tool bar in the upper right below the workflow tabs. QuickPick toolbar on a template The star icon opens QuickPicks for the rendering provider. The double star icon opens the System Set, or other providers’ QuickPicks that are available to all users in the practice (depending on configurations). QuickPicks

QuickPicks are an efficient way to enter template information for a typical visit. You can save the standard entries of a template as a QuickPick. Then, when you enter information for another patient encounter, you can save time by adding the entries from the saved QuickPick. Create and Save a QuickPick

You can create a QuickPick for a template with any amount of information filled in. If the template has questions and answers, you can include only questions or both questions and answers to save as part of the QuickPick. You can save the QuickPick to a rendering provider or as a system set. Note: To save a system set QuickPick, you must be in a security group with configured rights in the QuickPick Manager Configuration template. For more information about setting up security groups for system sets, refer to the Configuration Guide for NextGen® Therapy Suite. Open the template you want to create a QuickPick for.
