Generate Reports from the Report Dialog Window

Before you begin Because this application uses SAP® Crystal Reports® to produce reports, your practice or organization must have already set them up in the Report Dialog window. You can generate most of the reports for NextGen® Therapy Suite from the Report Dialog window. On the File menu, select Reports > Crystal Reports. The Report Dialog window opens. Note: If you want to generate the Open Cases, Productivity by Rendering Provider, or Productivity by Resource report, you must use the NTS Reports template. Generating Reports in NextGen® Therapy Suite

NextGen® Therapy Suite uses SAP® Crystal Reports® software to produce reports. Before you can view and run one of these reports, your practice or organization must first set it up in the Report Dialog window. Although you generate most of the reports from the Report Dialog, you must generate a few from a template. NextGen® Therapy Suite includes the following reports that you generate from the NTS Reports template: Open Cases Report. Displays all patients who have an open case, their last encounter date, visit type of the last encounter, patient phone number, and their initial evaluation date. Fee Sheet Productivity by Rendering Report. Displays the Fee Sheet charges for an encounter. Several charges may not have gone to NextGen® Enterprise PM (the charges were either set to prevent for that payer or due to billing rules they were not billed). Set Up SAP Crystal Reports

Only reports already created in the SAP Crystal Reports application and placed in the directory specified in the Universal Preferences appear on the Report Setup Dialog window. To generate, print, or fax SAP Crystal Reports you must set up each report and assign it to a printer. From the NextGen® Enterprise EHR File menu, select Reports > Crystal Reports. On the Report Dialog window, select Report Setup. The Report Setup Dialog window opens. From Report File, select one of the available report files. Select the plus button for All encounters for All Patient. Select a Location for your report. Note: Only providers at the selected location can access the report. If you leave the Location field blank, providers from all locations can access the report. Select a Printer. Optional: Select the one of the following options in the Filter By section: System Enterprise Practice Optional: Select Use Report Server. Note: To use this feature you must have the NextGen Report Server properly set up.

Document an Advanced Beneficiary Notice of Non-Coverage (ABN)

You can document items and services that may not be covered by the patient’s Medicare insurance and whether the patient chooses to receive them. Open the NTS Therapy ABN template from the ABN sub-navigation link. By default, this link is on the NTS Homepage template; it also appears on other templates. NTS Therapy ABN template Select any provider field to enter or change the name of that provider. The providers’ names are pulled from other templates. The Rendering Therapist field is required. Select the Service Types field, and then select the types of items or services that Medicare may not pay for. If the patient has an identification number, enter it in the Identification Number (Optional) field. Enter text to describe the items or services in the Items or Services field. Select the field Reasons Medicare May Not Pay, and then select a reason from the picklist. Enter an estimated cost for the items or services in the Estimated Cost field. Generate Providers Performance Report

In this example, you need to generate a list of patients who have had certain procedures performed during a specific period of time. The patients should be grouped by the provider who performed the procedure. Open the Report Filter. Select Procedure from the Settings List. The Procedure Search window opens. Report Filter Select to display the Procedure Search window. Enter Office in the Description field as a search criterion. Select Search. Select office emergency care from the list.
