Add Treatment Plan Details for PT/OT and Speech Visits

In the NTS Single Visit or NTS Speech Single Visit template, expand the Plan panel, and then go to the Treatment Plan section. If this is the first visit in this case, the Treatment grid will be empty. Afterwards, when you open this template, all entries in the grid copy forward from the prior visit. Select a category of treatment activities by doing one of the following: To enter general treatment activities, select Default. To enter treatment activities specific to a specialty, select a specialty category. Note: Administrators can configure categories and associated picklists in the NTS Picklist Manager practice template. Select the Treatment field. A picklist of treatment items opens. Do one of the following to add all treatment activities you plan to use to rehabilitate the patient: Select the items from the picklist, and then select Close or Done. Indicate the Treatment Plan Changed and Generate a New POC

When you change a PT/OT or speech treatment plan after the plan of care (POC) has been established, a new POC must be generated. In the NTS Single Visit or NTS Speech Single Visit template, expand the Plan panel, and then go to the Treatment Plan section. Update the activities in the treatment plan grid. If the POC was established before your changes, the Treatment Plan Changed. A New POC is Needed checkbox appears below the Treatment grid. (The checkbox does not appear when there are no changes). Enter the Assessment Narrative

You can construct a narrative that summarizes the physical, occupational, or speech therapy assessment. You build the narrative by combining text with phrases you select from a picklist. In the Single Visit or Speech Single Visit template, expand the Assessment panel. If you want to write the narrative, select the Assessment field, and then enter the text. If you want to select specific phrases, do the following: Select the arrow button arrow button. A picklist opens. Select all necessary phrases in the picklist. As you select each phrase, it is automatically added to the end of the Assessment text. When you finish adding phrases, select Close. The narrative automatically saves when you close the template. Treatment Plan

The Treatment Plan field uses a multipick picklist that contains terms and phrases that Medicare looks for. You can also free type in this field. The grid below the Treatment Plan field lists which treatments are planned to rehabilitate the patient. If the Category field entry is Default, you see the general picklist for treatment items. If you select a category Women’s Health, Ped, Vestibular, Work Comp, or Low Vision, you see the picklists specific to those specialties. Note: Categories and associated picklists can be configured in the Picklist manager practice template. Use the Treatment Plan Misc field to type in miscellaneous notes about the plan.
