Edit a Simple Alert

You can make changes to an alert that is not locked and does not require that you select the Edit Message button to make changes to it. Select the alert in the grid. The details for the alert enter the Description and Message fields below the grid. To edit the entry for the Description and Message fields, select the fields, and then edit the text. Select Update. Edit Configurable Alerts

Select a configurable alert in the grid. Configurable alerts display **Configurable by selecting Edit Message button below** in the Message column. The Edit Message button becomes available. A configurable alert is selected in the Alerts panel Select the Edit Message button. The Alert Multi Configuration window opens showing alert messages for each of the different messages that are part of that alert. Alert Multi Configuration window Select an alert in the grid. The details for the alert appear in the fields below the grid. To edit the text of the alert message, select the Alert Message field. To change the alert between Enabled and Disabled, select or clear the Enable checkbox as appropriate. Select Add/Update. Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends that you do not delete any of the alerts, and do not edit the Call Name or Description. You cannot add new alerts. Parent topic: Alert Message Types

Search for an Alert

Select the Search field and enter text that appears anywhere in the alert description. Select Search. The grid shows only alerts that contain the searched text. Parent topic: Alerts Panel

Alerts Panel

The grid in the Alerts panel displays all alerts that have been set up. The Description column describes the usage scenario that causes the alert to fire. The Message column shows the text of the alert message. The When column shows the template in the workflow where the alert fires. The Visit Set column shows which types of visits the alert will fire for. The Enabled column shows whether the alert has been enabled to fire ('Locked' indicates an alert that always fires and cannot be disabled). The Override column indicates whether an override has been configured for the alert. If there is an override (Yes), then when you select the alert, you see the conditions of the override in the grid in the Alerts Overrides panel. Most of the alerts are set to Enabled, and the system prevents you from disabling them due to regulatory or documentation requirements. If you select a row in the grid and the Enable checkbox becomes unavailable, you cannot turn off the alert. Search for an Alert Filter

Alerts Table

The Alerts table shows the current status and action counters for all your configured alerts. The Alerts table is the main section of the Alerts View that shows the current status and action counters for all your configured alerts. Image of the Alerts table. Column Description A Status Indicates whether the alert is enabled or disabled. B Name The name of the alert. C Id The unique ID for the alert. D Triggered The trigger count for the alert. This is the number of times the condition for the alert has been satisfied, but not necessarily how many alerts have been sent out. If you have multiple actions set on an alert, it may trigger once but send out multiple alerts. This number can be cleared out by using the Clear Trigger Count task. E Alerted For enabled alerts, the number of times the alert has taken action (e.g. sent an email) since it was last enabled. F Current Level The current escalation level for the alert. Set an Alert Override

Select the alert in the Alerts panel grid. Select the Create Override button. Alert Overrides panel with alert information The alert appears the Alert Overrides panel grid. As desired or necessary, do any of the following: If the field under the Message column is not gray, change the text of the message, and then select Update Message. Select a financial class from the list under the Financial Class column. Select a payer from the list under the Payer column.
