When there is a lock and the POC or Script has not been completed, if a user opens
Homepage and selects any visit type on a visit after the Eval, a message displays that treatment cannot continue without a valid POC and what the user needs to do if the POC was received. The message also warns that if the user opens
Single Visit without a valid POC, the encounter locks and prohibits them from documenting on it.

The Therapist must make sure to accept the POC on Homepage prior to opening Single Visit if they have received it back. The same holds true for Scripts.
Note: If a payer requires a script after a certain period (for example, 30 days), you can set it up in the Finclass Settings grid. The same process will be followed, except that the system will not fire an alert until the 30-day limit has been met and no script exists. If you track POCs on non-Medicare payers, a signed POC once entered will update the script fields and count as a new script.
