Add a Finclass or Payer Setting

In the NTS System Config template, expand the Finclass and Payer Settings panel, and then select the text field below the Fin Class Name column. A picklist opens that displays the full list of financial classes built in File Maintenance. Choose the financial class that you want to set up. (Optional) To apply your setting only to a specific payer in that financial class, select the text field below the Payer Name column. The default is all payers, indicated by an asterisk (*). Choose one of the options below the Script / POC column: POC – Req – a POC is required on all payers in this financial class. The POC will be generated as needed when the Fee Sheet is submitted, is tracked in the POC worklog, and must be signed off so that care can continue. POC – Track – a POC document will be generated as needed upon submission of Fee Sheet submission, be tracked in the POC worklog, and IF signed and returned will update the script on Homepage. If the POC is not returned, the staff can remove it

MCR Clinical Impression

Determine if the financial category selected will be able to require/view/hide the Medicare Clinical Impression that is shown on Single Visit as Medical Necessity. This field is required on Medicare patients with an Eval or Progress Visit. Required and on an eval visit type or checked the re-eval charge checkbox, the med necessity field is red. The label will be red on visits that this is required on, and it is a hard stop on Fee Sheet. If the financial class is set to Required, the therapist will not be able to submit charges on an eval or progress visit type without completing documentation in the Medical Necessity field. Not Required – Show makes the field visible on Single Visit on an Eval or Progress visit type, but it will not be a hard stop on Fee Sheet if they choose to not fill it out. Use the Finclass Settings grid to specify financial classes and payers within financial classes that: Require a Plan of Care (POC – Req) Track a Plan of Care (POC – Track) Use the Script document (Script) Require none of the above (None) In this grid, you can also set timeframe requirements for scripts and progress visits. View the Last Progress Note Date Information

Open a patient record, and then in Encounter History, expand a case and select an encounter. To view the encounter date of the previous evaluation or progress visit, open the NTS Homepage template for the patient, and then review the Last Progress Note date field. The Last Progress Note date field is updated when you submit charges on an encounter with the PT Progress visit type. To view the number of days and visits remaining until the next progress note is due, open a Single Visit template for the patient, expand the Case Details side panel, and then review the information in Last Progress Visit. The remaining time is calculated from the payer configuration in the Finclass and Payer Settings section of the NTS System Config template. Configure the Ordering Diagnosis by Visit Set

You can configure a visit set so that the following information is required before the therapist can submit charges: Users must select the Reviewed checkbox to indicate a review of the ordering diagnosis. Users must add an ordering diagnosis. When you make these required, the user cannot submit billing until they fulfill the configuration requirements. In the NTS Practice Config template, go to the Diagnosis section. Select the Visit Set you want to configure. Under Review Ordering Dx, select one of the following: Required. The therapist cannot submit charges until they mark the Reviewed checkbox. After the therapist selects the checkbox, it remains checked until a new ordering diagnosis is entered. Not Required. Hidden. The Reviewed checkbox does not appear on templates. Under Ordering Dx, select Required or Not Required to set whether an ordering diagnosis must be added before charges can be submitted. Homepage Template

Open the NTS Homepage template as the starting point for all visits. On it, you can view key information such as scripts, authorizations, KX modifier, and the plan of care. The application tracks this information and, when you open the NTS Homepage template, alerts you if action is needed.
