NextGen® Enterprise PM Integrated Request
You must ensure that appointment features are set up correctly in File Maintenance so that you can view and respond to appointment requests that patients send from NextGen® PxP Portal. For more information on setting up and using appointment scheduling with NextGen® Enterprise PM, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the Appointment Scheduling User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise PM.
If your practice has configured appointment categories that use NextGen® Enterprise PM Scheduling Admin, patients can request appointments using such categories from NextGen® PxP Portal. When your scheduling staff opens a NextGen® Enterprise PM integrated appointment request, the appointment booking feature automatically searches the NextGen® Enterprise PM Appointment Book for available appointment slots. The staff can then book the appointment or suggest an alternative appointment slot to the patient.
You can view all communication sent and received through the NextGen® PxP Portal in a single view for the selected patient, by turning on Patient-Specific View. The count of unread or unsent messages in the Communications, Prescriptions, and Appointments folders refreshes every time you switch between the full view and patient-specific view.
You can use the Display list to filter and review specific timeline messages. By default, the last three months messages are displayed.
The Schedule Appt button on the Appointment Request window indicates that the appointment request is a NextGen® Enterprise PM integrated appointment type. When you select Schedule Appt, the available time slots are listed. If no time slot is available for the time and date requested by the patient, you can send a reply without scheduling an appointment.
View appointment requests in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Workflow module to accept the request or provide an alternate appointment schedule; if your practice has enabled the Real-time schedule, patients can select an available time slot and book the appointment themselves
