Initial Setup

Before you begin Ensure that all SAP Crystal Reports are be placed in a specified location in the NextGenRoot folder. Copy the SAP Crystal Reports from the original location in the NextGenRoot folder to a location specified in the Reports Universal Preference. Note: Standard reports must be copied from the Distributed Reports/Crystal Reports folder to the pertinent location specified in the Universal Preference. After the reports are copied to the appropriate location, set up and generate them using the Report Dialog window in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. SAP Crystal Reports for NextGen® Enterprise EHR

NextGen® Enterprise EHR includes a set of all standard SAP Crystal Reports. The files reside in the Distributed Reports folder on your server and must be copied to your designated folders in your NextGenRoot folder when upgrading to NextGen Enterprise 5.6 or higher. All EHR Crystal Reports have the new rebranded NextGen logo except for the e-requests and claims. The Ohio RxPrint report in the state specific report and the new consolidated report has the new logo. The standard header and footer on all reports have the new logo. CAUTION: If you use the SQL Server 2012 database with the SQL Server Native Client 11.0 driver to connect to the database, the SAP Crystal Reports functionality may not work properly. Send SAP® Crystal Reports® to NextGen® PxP Portal

From the NextGen® Enterprise EHR File menu, select Reports > Crystal Reports. The Report Dialog window opens. Select the desired report, and select Save to Chart. The report is added to the patient chart. To send SAP® Crystal Reports® to NextGen® PxP Portal, do one of the following: Send as an attachment in communication messages. Send from File menu. Send from History toolbar. Send from PAQ module. After SAP Crystal Reports are generated, you can update the settings and work with them using the Report Dialog or by accessing certain reports from within other NextGen® Enterprise EHR modules. You can also access generated SAP Crystal Reports that are attached to a patient's chart using the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Encounter History or Categories tab. For example, you can do the following: View provider sign off details. View the properties of an SAP Crystal Reports within an encounter. Export an SAP Crystal Reports to NextGen® PxP Portal (for clients enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal). View the history details of SAP Crystal Reports sent to NextGen® PxP Portal.
