When the My Phrases functionality is available for a field, a down arrow icon appears in the upper right above the field or to the right of the field.

Add My Phrases on the Fly
You can add phrases into your My Phrase category sets on the fly, when you are entering text into fields on a patient’s chart. Type the new phrase into the field. Click the plus sign icon. This opens the INF My Phrases Mng template with all the text that you have entered in the field showing in the lower My Phrase grid. The Category field is filled with the name of the category or section on which you entered the text. Type a name in the Name field. This is a required short phrase that identifies the phrase you are using. Edit the text, as needed. Click Add to add the new phrase. Click Close to return to the template where you were working. My Phrases Management
The INF My Phrases Mng template enables you to build and manage custom phrases used throughout the NextGen® Orthopedic Suite templates. You can view, add, update or delete user-specific phrases; you can filter by a category, view deleted phrases or system sets, and you can find and copy phrases from other users. The top grid displays all user-specific phrases that have already been created for the category shown in the Category field. The entry in the Category field determines the templates and sections where the phrase will be used. For example, a category of HPI displays phrases available for the HPI sections of the templates. My Phrases
The My Phrases functionality is designed to save you time by saving frequently-used statements for patients’ histories, exam, assessments, and plans of care. You can quickly add the saved statements to a patient's chart. On the INF My Phrases Mng template, you can manage phrases. You can build, update, and delete your own phrases, and System set phrases, and copy phrases from other users to your own set. You can also save phrases on the fly when you are typing comments into fields. When the My Phrases functionality is available for a field, a down arrow icon and plus sign icon appear above the field or to the right of the field. The down arrow opens My Phrases and enables you to select previously saved phrases. The plus sign adds a phrase that you have typed in the field to your phrase set for that category. Add a My Phrase
Click the down arrow to open the My Phrases template. The template opens showing phrases saved for the category (template) it was opened from. Do any of the following: To select your own phrases, check the Show Mine check box. To select phrases added by the rendering provider, check the Show Rendering check box. To select other user's phrases, check the Show Other check box and select the other provider whose phrases you want to use. To select system set phrases, check the Show System Set check box. To select multiple sets of phrases, select more than one check box. INF My Phrases Select template Select the desired phrase(s) from the grid to add them to the Comments field. Once you are satisfied with your entries, click Save & Close. Note: You cannot change rendering provider’s phrases, another user’s phrases, or System Set phrases. You can only use them. Open the My Phrases Select Template
You can open the INF My Phrases Select template through the appropriate field. From any appropriate template, select the Down Arrow icon or My Phrases link available for the field to be documented. The INF MyPhrases Select template opens.
