Add External Equipment

You can add durable medical equipment (DME) that must be purchased from external sources. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Single Order or External DME. In the External DME template or the External DME panel of the Single Order template, right-click the Item grid, and then select Add New. The IORTSdme_master_extDME window opens. Document Details of External Equipment

You can document the order details for durable medical equipment (DME) that must be purchased from external sources for orthopedic patients. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Single Order. Expand the External DME panel. Select the item to order from the Item grid. The selected item appears in the Item field. Note: You can add, update, and delete items in the Item grid. By default, the current date appears in Date. Select the duration of the item, the date of the injury, and the date of surgery. Enter the reason for the order. Update Internal Equipment

You can update the details of durable medical equipment (DME) your practice can dispense. You can also delete any unnecessary DME. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Single Order or Internal DME. In the Internal DME template or the Internal DME panel of the Single Order template, select an equipment from the Orthotics and Prosthetics grid. Optional: To delete the selected equipment, right-click and select Delete. To update the selected equipment, right-click and select Open. The IORTSdme_master_xpo window opens with the details of the selected equipment. Update the necessary details. Select Save, and then select Close. Order External Equipment in the External DME Template

You can order durable medical equipment (DME) from external sources for orthopedic patients. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select External DME. The External DME template opens. To add diagnoses and procedures for the order, select Dx & Px. Note: Selecting procedures is optional; however, you must select at least one diagnosis to order equipment. Select the item to order from the Item grid. The selected item appears in the Item field. Note: You can add, update, and delete items in the Item grid. By default, the current date appears in Date. Select the duration of the item, the date of the injury, and the date of surgery. Enter the reason for the order. Select Place Order. The documents configured for external DME orders in the Document Config template are sent to the document queue. Optional: To generate all documents from the document queue, select Print Documents . Add Internal Equipment

You can add durable medical equipment (DME) your practice can dispense. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Single Order or Internal DME. In the Internal DME template or the Internal DME panel of the Single Order template, right-click the Orthotics and Prosthetics grid, and then select Add New. The IORTSdme_master_xpo window opens. Do one of the following: To add off-the-shelf items, select OTS. To add custom items, select Custom. To add cash items, select Cash. In Body Region, enter the applicable region of the body. Enter the item name, CPT® code, service item, and quantity details. Optional: Enter any other necessary details. Select Save, and then select Close. Order Internal Equipment in the Internal DME Template

You can order durable medical equipment (DME) your practice can dispense. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Internal DME. The Internal DME template opens. To add diagnoses and procedures for the order, select Dx & Px. Note: Selecting procedures is optional; however, you must select at least one diagnosis to order equipment. Select an item from the Orthotics and Prosthetics grid. The following fields are automatically filled: Item Charge Deposit Body Region Note: You can select any off-the-shelf (O), custom (C), or cash (CA) item. You can add, update, and delete items in the Orthotics and Prosthetics grid. Optional: Modify the charge.
