Submit Today's Charges

Once all items in the coding grid have been coded as desired, the provider must submit charges and sign off on the template (if not using PAQ signoff) to finalize the visit and generate the office note. On the Finalize Visit template, click Submit to send charges to NextGen® Enterprise PM for billing. Note: Radiology orders that have an Interpreted status are updated to Submitted. The system will alert you if there are radiology tests that do not have an Interpreted status. Check the Provider Signoff check box to sign off on the visit, unless you are using the PAQ. Letters and Reports on the Finalize Visit Template

The Finalize Visit template has links to letters, office notes, and reports. The Radiology Report displays all non-X-ray orders that have been performed and interpreted on today's encounter. The X-ray Report displays all x-ray tests that have been performed and interpreted on today’s encounter on the Radiology Order Management template. There is also a Document Generation Log, carbon copy provider fields, Electronic Clinical Summary, and NextGen Portal Registration sections. You can click the report and letter icons to generate documents. The Electronic Clinical Summary and NextGen Portal Registration selections carry forward if entered on the Intake template. Document Dictation Use in the Encounter

If dictation is configured for your practice, the Dictate button and No Dictation check box appear at the top of the Finalize Visit template. Note: For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Configuration Guide for NextGen® Orthopedic Suite. On the Finalize Visit template, click the Dictate button. The IORTSfinalize Po template opens. Finalize Visit checklist Select the appropriate check boxes that dictation was used from one of the following visit types: Billable Visits Non-Billable Visits Fracture Care Note: When dictation is used in the encounter, the office note does not automatically generate when you Submit the charges on the Finalize Visit template. Misc. Dictation If you performed a radiology test and used dictation to record the information, click the Radiology Dictated check mark. Submitting Charges to Finalize a Visit

You can enter the visit details, today's diagnoses, and procedures to submit charges and finalize visit. You can use various sections on the Finalize Visit template to add data and submit charges for finalizing a visit. In the Non-Billable & Initial Fracture Care grid, you can select the appropriate option for the current workflow to add it to the coding grid. When you select any option except No services rendered in the Non-Billable & Initial Fracture Care grid, the IORTSfinalize Po window opens for entering the dictation used for any part of the visit. If dictation is not configured for the provider or the practice, the IORTSfinalize Po window does not open. For the options that have associated task configured, the Add New Task window opens before the IORTSfinalize Po window. After you assign the task to the desired user or work group and close the Add New Task window, the IORTSfinalize Po window opens. Document Dictation Use in the Fracture Care Visit

On the Finalize Visit template, click the Dictate button. The IORTSfinalize Po template opens. Finalize visit checklist for Non billable post operative fracture care Select the appropriate boxes under Fracture Care for the sections in which dictation was used. If radiology tests were performed and dictation used to record them, click the Radiology Dictated check mark. Manage the Pre-Operative Visit to Submit Charges

You can add or remove the pre-operative visit to submit charges and finalize a visit. On the appropriate template, click Finalize Visit in the workflow tab. The Finalize Visit template opens. To add Pre-Op to the coding grid of the Finalize Visit template, do the following: Select Pre-Op from the Non-Billable & Initial Fracture Care grid. The IORTSfinalize Po window opens. Finalize visit checklist for pre-operative checklist The IORTSfinalize Po window opens only if dictation for the provider or practice is configured in the Dictation panel on the Practice Configuration template. If the dictation is not configured, the Pre-Op option is added as an entry in the coding grid, and a check mark appears for the Pre-Op option in the Non-Billable & Initial Fracture Care grid.
