Tasking Configuration

You can setup and maintain all the tasking (both manual and automatic) on the Tasking Configuration practice template. The top grid of the template displays all the built tasks and all the data associated with them. This grid shows both manual tasks and tasks that are sent automatically based on triggers set in specific template fields. The Tasking Configuration template has the following panels: Tasks Task Options Tasking Workgroup Setup Managing Tasks You can view and manage all the tasks available in NextGen® Orthopedic Suite. Build a New Task

You can build a new task from the Tasks panel of the Tasking Configuration practice template. However, there are some pre-configured tasks are available for you in the main grid of the Tasks panel. Note: A task added manually cannot be triggered automatically; You will only see it if you click the task Task icon icon in the QuickPick toolbar. Fields to enter the task details in the Tasks panel Select the Show in EHR and Enabled check boxes in the square below the grid in the Tasks panel. Enter the task name in the Call Name field. Enter a subject in the Subject field. Enter a Call Description. Enter a Description. Select a Due Date option. Select a Priority option. Select an Attach Item option. Current Template – Select this if you want the task to attach the template associated with the selected task. Template – Select this and select a template from the field if you want the task to attach a template other than the one associated with the selected task. Click Add-Update. Parent topic

Update a Task

You can update or edit a configured task. On the Tasking Configuration practice template, expand the Tasks panel. Select the task from the main grid. The task information appear the fields below the grid. Fields to enter the task details in the Tasks panel Note: You cannot edit Call Name and Call Description fields. Update the following information as needed: Subject Description Due Date Priority Attach Item Current Template: Choose this option if you want the task to attach the template associated with the selected task. Template: Choose this option and select a template from the field picklist if you want the task to attach a template other than the one associated with the selected task. Click Add-Update. Procedure Group Configuration

You can create and manage procedure groups that are used on the procedure pages throughout the NextGen® Orthopedic Suite from the PX Group Configuration panel of the Common Procedure Configuration practice template. Configuring Tasks

You can configure various automatic and manual tasks that are used on the medical record templates in NextGen® Medication Inventory Control. you can configure the conditions and details of various tasks and add specific users or workgroups as task recipients for automatic tasks on the MICS Tasking Manager system template. Tasking Manager template The MICS Tasking Manager system template sends automatic tasks to the designated recipients while documenting details on the applicable medical record templates based on the task criteria. For using the manual tasks configured on the MICS Tasking Manager system template, you can select the task Task icon on the relevant medical record template. On the Add New Task window that opens, you can manually send the task to the designated recipients. You can do the following on the MICS Tasking Manager system template. Delete Task

If a task available for medical record templates is not necessary, you can delete the task in NextGen® Medication Inventory Control. Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends deactivating unnecessary tasks instead of deleting them. You can clear the Enabled check box for an existing task to deactivate that task. On the Specialty Config Home template, select Tasking Manager from the left navigation bar. On the MICS Tasking Manager template, expand the Tasks panel. From the Tasks grid, select the task to be deleted . The task details are automatically filled in the corresponding fields. Select Delete. The selected task is deleted.
