Update a Task

You can update or edit a configured task. On the Tasking Configuration practice template, expand the Tasks panel. Select the task from the main grid. The task information appear the fields below the grid. Fields to enter the task details in the Tasks panel Note: You cannot edit Call Name and Call Description fields. Update the following information as needed: Subject Description Due Date Priority Attach Item Current Template: Choose this option if you want the task to attach the template associated with the selected task. Template: Choose this option and select a template from the field picklist if you want the task to attach a template other than the one associated with the selected task. Click Add-Update. Update a Task

You can update a task. Select the task from the main grid. The task information enters the fields below the grid. Make any of the following updates as needed: Select the Description field to type additional or new information that you want to have appear in the Inbox task. Select a Due Date option. Select a Priority option. Select an Attach Item option. Current template – Choose this button if you want the task to attach the template associated with the selected task. Template […] - Choose this button and select a template from the field if you want the task to attach a template other than the one associated with the selected task. Select Add/Update to save changes. Note: All existing tasks are hard coded with triggers to enable automatic tasking. Create Tasks

You can configure tasks for various medical record templates of NextGen® Medication Inventory Control. You can configure tasks in the Tasks panel on the MICS Tasking Manager template. However, some tasks are already configured for you in the Tasks panel. Note: A manual task cannot be automatically triggered on any medical record templates. You can select the task icon in the QuickPick toolbar of the medical record templates to open the Add New Task window to manually send a task to desired recipients. Open the Quick Task Setup

You can create a task using Quick Tasks. You can configure the recipients for your orders or tasks using the Practice Configuration practice template. Once configured, the task is automatically sent to the configured recipient at run time. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select File > System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. Select the Practice tab. Under Show, select All. A list of practice templates appears. Select Practice Configuration, and select OK.The Practice Configuration template opens. Add a Task

You can create and assign tasks to users as an action items for them to perform. In the QuickPick toolbar, click the Task icon icon. The Add New Task template opens. Add New Task template Click the Task Name field. The Get Tasks window opens. Select the task from the Get Tasks window, and click OK. The Subject and Description fields are filled automatically. You can edit it, if required. Click the Due Date field, and select the due date to complete the task. Select the priority. Type the subject and description. Select the Attach Patient option if you need to attach the current patient to the task. Select the Attach Item option. If you select Current Template, the current template name appears in the blank field. If you select Template or Document, click the blank field to select the desired template or document. Create a Task for an Intervention

Before you begin Ensure that you have selected the Specialty and Visit Type as Care Management. If an intervention requires an action by a provider, you can create a task for that provider. The tasks you create are not linked to a particular intervention and behave as any other task in the tasking function. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Plan/Intervention tab, expand the Interventions panel. Select the intervention for which you need to create a task and select Task.The To Do window appears.
