You can change the procedure description and/or the diagnosis codes attached to it, add or edit the Fee pulled from File Maintenance for the procedure, designate the procedure as No Charge and add any necessary modifiers.
In the Diagnosis/Procedure Information panel, click the Edit button below the coding grid.
The Edit Surgery Coding template opens.
Select a procedure from the grid.
To add a modifier, click the Modifier field and select from the picklist.
To change the fee, click the Fee field.
To change the procedure Description and/or Side, click those fields and choose another entry.
Select the No Charge check box to indicate that the patient is not being charged for the selected procedure.
