Add a Procedure on the Surgery Coding Template

To add a procedure, do one of the following: If using IMO, click the Procedure IT button to launch the IMO template. Click the Procedure Codes button below the Procedures grid to launch the IORTS Px Xpo template. Click on procedures to be billed in the grid. When you click on a procedure, it moves to the coding grid and a check mark appears next to it in the Procedures grid. Only the procedures with a check mark in the Procedures grid and that are in the coding grid can be submitted to Superbill or the patient’s histories. Add an Assessment

Click the Add - Remove button below the Today’s Diagnosis grid. The IORTS FV Add Assess template opens. IORTS FV Add Assess template Double-click the diagnosis in the patient’s Diagnosis grid to add it to the Today’s Diagnosis grid. Note: If a diagnosis is not in the Diagnosis grid, you can find and add it by using the Add button (or the Problem IT button if your practice is configured to use IMO). Click Close. Diagnosis/Procedure Information Panel

Procedures and diagnoses pull to the grids in the Diagnosis/Procedure Information panel from the Surgery Sched template. You can add additional procedures and diagnoses to the grids. Procedures and diagnoses entered from the Surgery Sched template cannot be removed, but do not have to be billed for, if not performed. Additional features in this panel include the following: Do not send to Histories– enables you to submit charges for the procedure(s) without sending the procedure(s) to the Orthopedic Surgical History grid. This would prevent providers from tying this procedure to a post-op visit. Submit to History- if you are awaiting sign off, but you want to enter the procedure in the Orthopedic Surgical History grid, click the Submit to History button. This sends the procedure to the Orthopedic Surgical History grid, so providers can tie it to a post-op visit prior to charges being submitted. When ready to submit charges, you can return to this template and click Submit to Superbill.

Add a Treating Diagnosis

As you review the ordering diagnoses for a therapy patient, the diagnosis you want to apply may not be listed. If the ordering diagnoses do not meet therapy treatment needs, you can add a different treating diagnosis. Note: You can also add treating diagnoses by using Problem Intelligent Medical Objects (IMO). If your practice is licensed for IMO, select the Problem IT button under the grid to open IMO to add assessments. Follow the documentation provided by IMO documentation to use IMO to add assessments. Under Treating Dx, select Add. The Inf Common Assessment window opens. Add the Patient's Diagnoses

You can add a diagnosis to the grid in either of two ways. If you are licensed for Problem Intelligent Medical Objects (IMO) functionality, click the Problem IT button under the grid to launch IMO to add a diagnosis. To use the Inf Common Assessment template, click the Add button under the Diagnosis grid. Select Orthopedic to add an orthopedic-specific diagnosis or the Medical option for all other diagnoses. Click Add under the Diagnosis grid. The Inf Common Assessment template opens. If the template is blank or you want to use a different common assessment, click the Common Assessments field, select a page from the picklist and click OK.
