Sort Treating Diagnoses

The Treating Dx grid show diagnoses in the order that they will appear on the claims form. You can sort the order of the items in the Treating Dx grid, to put the most relevant items for today’s encounter at the top. Select Sort DX. The NTS Diag Sort window opens. The top grid shows all diagnosis in their current order. NTS Diag Sort template displaying existing diagnoses sort order Select the primary diagnosis for today in the top grid. The diagnosis moves to the lower grid, as #1 in the new order. Select the additional diagnoses in the order of their relevance to the treatment for that visit. Diagnoses move to the bottom grid in the order they are selected. Select Save & Close. The window closes. The Treating Dx grid shows the new order. Search for a Diagnosis Code

If you do not see the diagnosis you need on the Common Assessments template, you can search for it. Select the Search field, and then enter the code or a word or words that describe the condition. Select Search. A search window opens with all codes related to your entry. Inf Common Assess Search picklist Select the diagnosis code, and then select OK to add it to the Treating grid, or, if necessary, change your search. Select Save & Close. Add a Treating Diagnosis

As you review the ordering diagnoses for a therapy patient, the diagnosis you want to apply may not be listed. If the ordering diagnoses do not meet therapy treatment needs, you can add a different treating diagnosis. Note: You can also add treating diagnoses by using Problem Intelligent Medical Objects (IMO). If your practice is licensed for IMO, select the Problem IT button under the grid to open IMO to add assessments. Follow the documentation provided by IMO documentation to use IMO to add assessments. Under Treating Dx, select Add. The Inf Common Assessment window opens. Select the Common Assessments field to open a picklist, select the diagnosis codes page you want to use, and then select OK. Add a Treating Diagnosis

You can add additional treating diagnosis using IMO or Common assessment templates. The following steps describe adding treating diagnosis codes using the Common Assessments templates. Note: If your practice is licensed for Problem Intelligent Medical Objects (IMO) functionality, select the Problem IT button under the grid to open IMO to add assessments. Select Add. The Inf Common Assessment window opens. Select the Common Assessments field to select the diagnosis codes page you want to use, and then select OK. The selected page opens. Add a Treating Diagnosis from the Common Assessments Template

You can add additional treating diagnoses using IMO or Common assessment templates. The Inf Common Assessment window opens. If the Common Assessments field is blank or does not show the Diagnosis Codes page you want, do the following: Select the Common Assessments field. The Inf Common Assess Dbpl window opens. Select the Diagnosis Codes page you want, and then select OK. The selected Diagnosis Codes page opens. Select one or more diagnoses. If you select an item with a plus sign, a picklist opens for you to select a more specific diagnosis. The Treating grid shows all selected diagnoses. Select Save & Close. Select an Ordering Diagnosis as a Treating Diagnosis

When a patient comes to you for therapy, they may have one or more ordering diagnoses already added. Based on your assessment, you determine the treating diagnoses to support the patient’s need for therapy. You can select from the existing ordering diagnoses or select additional ones that better reflect the specific diagnoses related to therapy treatment. Expand the Assessment panel. Ordering Dx lists the diagnoses that were added on the NTS Homepage template. Under Ordering Dx, review the ordering diagnoses to determine which ones should be included as treating diagnoses. Select an ordering diagnosis, and then select the right arrow to move it to the Treating Dx list. Treating Dx displays the diagnosis. The diagnosis remains visible in the Ordering Dx list.
