Configure Procedure Documentation and Findings

You can add the procedure documentation and procedure findings values for sections and subsections in the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. From the Show section, select All. Select Procedure Documentation Config, and then select OK.The Procedure Documentation Config practice template opens. Expand the Documentation panel and select a procedure from the list.The procedures are configured for a specialty on the Procedure Config practice template. Open the Procedure Documentation Config Practice Template

You can configure procedure documentation and findings using the Procedure Documentation Config template. The configured content appears in the runtime Documentation panel and Findings panel on the ASC - Physician Procedure template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. In Select Template, select the Practice tab. In the Show section, select All.A list of practice templates opens. Select Procedure Documentation Config and select OK.The Procedure Documentation Config practice template opens. Assign Procedure Codes or Service Categories to a Group

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Manage Procedure Groups and Codes practice template. Select any existing procedure group from the grid. In the Assign Procedure Code(s)/Service Category to Group section, set Type to a Procedure Code or Service Category. Enter a search term in the Description or Code fields. Click Search. Select the row that you want to add from the Search Results grid. Click the right-arrow button to include the row in the Assign Procedure Codes/Service Category grid. Note: You can move any of the assigned rows back to Search Results grid if needed. Procedure groups set as Restrict Code can only be associated with a single CPT code. For such groups, the ability to search by the Service Category option is disabled. Click Save from the toolbar. Click Close from the toolbar to return to your regular workflow. Add Subsection 2 to the Configured Subsection 3

You can add numerous subsections to the configured primary subsection using the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. In Select Template, select the Practice tab. In the Show section, select All.A list of practice templates opens. Select Procedure Documentation Config and select OK. On the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, select Sub section 3, to add a subsection to the configured Sub section 2. Select the Previous section to open a list of sections and the associated subsections. Select a subsection 2 configured in Add a Sub section to the configured Sub Section 1. Enter a Sub section for the selected subsection 2.The value documented in the Sub Section field fills the Short description field. Configure Service Code Mapping

The fields across the top of the Service Code Mapping panel correspond directly with the data grid. For service code mapping, you must fill all the fields except Practice, Program, and Location. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select File > System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens and displays the system-related templates. Select the Practice tab, and then select All to display all the practice templates. Select BH Foundation Configuration, and then select OK. In the BH Foundation Configuration template, expand the Service Code Mapping panel. Service Code Mapping panel displaying the list of configured codes To map a code to a specific practice, select a practice. Note: If the code you are mapping is not practice-specific, leave this field blank. To map a code to a specific contract or payer, select Contract/Payer, and then select the payer or contract. Note: The displayed list pulls data from either the Contract library or the Payers master file in File Maintenance.
