The Epidural button opens the IORTSepidural Injection template where you can document an in-office epidural injection.
On the Billable Visit template, expand the Physical Exam panel.
Click the Epidural button below the Office Procedures grid.
The IORTSepidural Injection template opens. The Surgeon field displays the name of the encounter rendering provider.
Click the Procedure field, select a procedure from the picklist and click OK.
Click the Anesthesia field to select the type of anesthesia.
Click the Anesthesiologist field to select the name of the anesthesiologist.
Document pre-procedure care in the Pre-procedure care panel.
Enter the Anesthesiologist.
Document the procedure in the Procedure panel.
Document post-procedure care in the bottom panel.
Enter Comment.
Click Submit to Grid.
A message informs you that the epidural injection information was sent to the Finalize Visit template for billing.
Click the Epidural Injection document icon to generate the document. If it is configured to open, review the document and then close it. The document is sent to the patient’s record and the PAQ.
