Configuring Practice Settings
You can configure global settings and other preferences for your practice.
You can use the Practice Configuration template to configure settings for your practice. The Practice Configuration template is specific to NextGen® Orthopedic Suite.
The following table describes the panels on the Practice Configuration template.

| Global Settings | You can set preferences that are used throughout the templates of NextGen® Orthopedic Suite. |
| E&M Coding | You can configure an effective date for 2023 guidelines on evaluation and management (E&M) coding. The 2023 guidelines for E&M coding go into effect on January 1, 2023, and you can change the effective date as needed. |
| Finalize Visit Settings | You can configure settings related to the Finalize Visittemplate. |
| Admin Override | You can configure administrative override functionality for various security groups. |
| Dictation | You can remove dictation features for the entire practice or specific providers who are not using them. |
| ROM Number Entry | You can set number pad preferences for range of motion (ROM) fields for the entire practice or specific users. |
