Configure Financial Classes to Exclude Surgery Locations

You can configure financial classes that excludes certain surgery locations. Payer/Location Exclusions section in the Location panel On the IORTS Cfg Surgery Schedule system template, expand the Location panel. Under Payer/Location Exclusions section, from the Location grid, select the location to be excluded. In the field below the Financial Classes grid, select the financial class that needs to exclude the selected location. Click Add. Parent topic: Managing Surgery Locations

Move Payers Out of the Surgery Location Exclusion List

If a payer does not exclude surgery at a location and the financial class from which payer belongs to excludes surgery at that location, you can remove the payer from the exclusion list. On the IORTS Cfg Surgery Schedule system template, expand the Location panel. Under Payer/Location Exclusions section, from the Location grid, select the desired location. Payer exclusion lists in the Location panel All the financial classes which excludes the selected location appear in the Financial Classes grid. Select the desired Financial Class. All the payers in the selected financial class appear in the Payers excluding selected surgery location grid. In the Payers excluding selected surgery location grid, select the desired payer. You can also configure financial classes and payers that exclude certain locations. Record the Surgery Date and Location

In the surgery scheduling process, the Date of Surgery is not required and can be skipped if not known at the time of the order. From the Home template, click the Surgery Sched link. To enter a date of surgery, click the Date of Surgery field to open a calendar pop-up. The system fills the Admit Date field with the same date. You can edit the Admit Date. Managing Pre- and Post-Operative Medication Instructions

You can configure the picklist for pre- and post-operative medications and instructions fields using the IORTS Cfg Surgery Schedule system template. The Pre & Post Op Medication Instructions panel on the IORTS Cfg Surgery Schedule system template has the medication categories. You can use these categories to configure the picklists for the following fields in the Medical Clearance panel on the Surgery Sched medical record template.
