Managing Pre- and Post-Operative Medication Instructions

You can configure the picklist for pre- and post-operative medications and instructions fields using the IORTS Cfg Surgery Schedule system template. The Pre & Post Op Medication Instructions panel on the IORTS Cfg Surgery Schedule system template has the medication categories. You can use these categories to configure the picklists for the following fields in the Medical Clearance panel on the Surgery Sched medical record template. Managing Surgery Locations

You can manage surgery locations where surgeries can be performed from the Location panel of the IORTS Cfg Surgery Schedule system template. You can also configure financial classes and payers that exclude certain locations. Location panel on the IORTS Cfg Surgery Schedule template Configure the Surgery Location Picklist You can configure the Location picklist that appear on the Surgery Sched medical record template. Configure Financial Classes to Exclude Surgery Locations Move Payers Out of the Surgery Location Exclusion List If a payer does not exclude surgery at a location and the financial class from which payer belongs to excludes surgery at that location, you can remove the payer from the exclusion list. Configuring Components for Surgery Scheduling

You can configure hardware needed for a surgery or being removed in a surgery from the Components panel of the IORTS Cfg Surgery Schedule system template. You can also configure the body part, the picklists attached to the body part, the display name, and the order in which the picklists appear. The gray tabs along the top displays the picklist column headers for the selected body part. Configure the Surgery Location Picklist

You can configure the Location picklist that appear on the Surgery Sched medical record template. Location field on the Surgery Scheduling template The Location picklist on the Surgery Sched medical record template contain all the locations where surgery can be performed. On the IORTS Cfg Surgery Schedule system template, expand the Location panel. From the Surgery Location grid, select one or more locations. Surgery Location section in the Location panel To select all locations, select Select All check box. A check mark appear before all the selected locations in the Surgery Location grid. Add a Medication and Instructions

You can add a medication and instructions to the picklist for a selected category. Each category corresponds to the header for a set of fields. On the IORTS Cfg Surgery Schedule system template, expand the Pre & Post Op Medication Instructions panel. In the Category grid, select the desired category. In the field below the Item column, enter the medication. In the field below the Description column, enter the instructions for medication. Click Add. Change Components Picklist Order

The Position fields above the Picklist and Column Header fields have numbers that indicate the order in which the picklists appears in the IORTS Components template. You can change the order by changing the numbers. Position field in the Components panel On the IORTS Cfg Surgery Schedule system template, expand the Components panel. Select the desired body part from the grid. The fields below the grid displays the picklist and column headers for the selected body part. In the Position field above the desired component picklist, select the new position number. The new order number enters that Position field. Note: The picklist that formerly had the new position number displays the previous position number of newly positioned picklist. Click Add - Update.
