Summary Panel on the Home Page - Ambulatory Surgery Template

The Summary panel displays the details documented by the scheduler, clinical support person, and provider in an encounter. The grid includes a list of categories in the left pane to select and view the documented data. The categories in the left pane can be added or deleted using the Framework Content system template. For more information on how to configure the categories in the left pane of the Summary panel, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Framework Content System Template for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. Some of the categories include filters at the top of the grid, allowing you to filter and review the required data. The data in the grid is view-only, that is, you cannot edit or delete data from the grid. Summary To view or review the patient's medical chart summary, select the required link in the left pane. Chart Summary

The Chart Summary template displays the details documented by the intake/clinical support staff and provider in the framework template set of the Procedure and Procedure Preadmission visit types. The left pane includes a list of categories to select and view the documented data. Some of the categories include filters at the top of the grid, allowing you to filter and review the required data. The data in the grid is read-only. The View Previous button is used to add data from the previous encounters to the current dynamic template. The Quick Save button is used to save the documented data of your current template/panel as a default set, allowing you to use it again when documenting on the same template/panel during future patient encounters. Manage Summary Selections on the Summary List

You can add, remove, and reorder the summary selections on the Summary list. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select the Medical Chart Summary panel. To select an item in the list, select the list field on the Summary Item column, and select a summary item.The selected summary item appears in the field. To add the summary item to the grid, select Add. To rearrange the items in the Summary Listing grid in alphabetical order, select Sort Alphabetically. To remove a summary item, select a row in the grid, and select Delete. Reviewing Patient's History

You can view the history of the patient's medical, surgical, interim, family, and social details in the History panel. The history details in the grid are updated automatically when you add any detail in the Histories template. View and Update Patient Demographic Information

You can access the Patient Demographics template from Demographics links on various NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine templates. For more information, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine documentation for the specific template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open an existing patient record. On the main toolbar, select Template . In the Select Template window, select the Demographics tab. Select the Patient Demographics template. Expand the panels to view the information. Do one of the following: To save your updates without closing the template, select File > Save. View Dashboard Template

You can view the dashboard template for the selected patient. Note: In System Administrator, if Access Rights for Chart/Recalls/Tasking is set to No, then you cannot access Chart from the NextGen Care® Population Management Hub toolbar. For more information about setting access permissions to Chart in NextGen Care® Population Management Hub, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest System Administrator Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. In NextGen Care® Population Management Hub, do one of the following: From the Cohorts tab, run a report. From the My Lists tab, run a list. From the Appointment Book tab, filter the patients. The patient list appears in the patient grid. In the patient grid, select the check box next to the patient's name. From Chart, select Dashboard.
