Document Interpretation of Diagnostic Test Results

Providers can document their interpretation of results for Retinal diagnostic tests on the Retinal Diagnostic Test Report – OPH template. Access the Retina Diagnostics template set. Select the DX Interpretation tab.The DX Interpretation - OPH template opens. From the Ordered Diagnostic Tests section, select the Show 'Obtained' option to filter what appears in the Orders grid. Click the Interpret Test link below the Orders grid. The Retinal Diagnostic Test Report – OPH template opens, showing Obtained Retinal diagnostic tests in the Orders grid. Retinal Diagnostics

Retinal diagnostics are ordered and scheduled, performed, and results documented and interpreted on the 4-tab Retinal Diagnostics template set. The Retinal Diagnostics template set can be opened from the Procedures – OPH template using the Retina Diagnostics link. Depending on the diagnostic test, actual testing performed by the technician can be completed on the Perform Test template of the Retinal Diagnostics template set or on the Testing - OPH template. Performing Diagnostic Tests for Retina

The Retina Perform Diagnostic Test – OPH template (seen as the Perform Test tab) is generally used by technicians after completing the ordered tests to document the completion of Retina diagnostic testing and to notify the provider. Retinal Procedures

The Procedures - OPH template provides a central location from which you can open specialty diagnostic testing and other procedures for General and Retina Ophthalmology. The workflow for testing and procedures is shared between the provider and the technician. With Retinal diagnostic testing, there is a technical component that is performed by the technician and a professional interpretation component that is performed by the provider.
