Update an Assessment in Today's Assessment Update an Assessment in Today's Assessment You can update the patient's assessments in the Today's Assessments grid. You can also add an assessment to the patient's clinical problems list as a chronic condition or add it to the provider's list of tracked problems and My Favorites so that it can easily be found and selected for other patients. Highlight the row with the assessment in the Today's Assessments grid. The fields in the Impression section fill with the selected assessment details. Click the Side field and select the affected side from the pick list. The selected value appears in the Today's Assessments grid and the Impression section. Enter a Status. To add the assessment to another grid, select one of the following for Add to: Clinical Problems includes both chronic conditions and tracked problems. Reorder Assessments
Assessments can be sorted into a preferred order using the Reorder Assessments template. Click the Sort button to open the Reorder Assessments template. reorder assessments template Start with the assessment that you want to be displayed in the list first. Click the assessments in the Existing Sort Order grid in the order you want them to appear in the New Sort Order grid one at a time. Add a New Assessment Using the Diagnosis Search
You can search for an assessment using the diagnosis search window. Click the Diagnosis Lookup link. The diagnosis search window opens. diagnosis lookup link Enter the first few letters of the desired assessment in the Search field. Click Search. The results grid refreshes to display a list of assessments that include the searched for item. Highlight a row in the results grid. Click Select. The selected assessment appears in the Today's Assessments grid. Delete an Existing Assessment
CAUTION: Removing an item from the Today's Assessment grid does not resolve the diagnosis. The Add or Update Assessments template is part of a group of templates that use the last assessment or diagnosis selected on any of the templates as the working assessment. If you remove one of multiple available assessments on the Add or Update Assessments template, you must select a new working assessment that carries over to the other templates that share the same working assessment. Using the Assessments Tab
The Assessments tab in the My Plan template set houses the Add or Update Assessment template. The grids on the Assessments tab can be filtered. For example, in the Billing Diagnosis History section, selecting the Show Chronic only check box displays only those diagnoses that are not acute. Selecting the option to Add Assessments on 1 click speeds up the documentation process by including the diagnosis description and code for Today's Assessment in the grid and Problems module without having to click Add/Update. The Medications or Immunizations links can be used at any time during the encounter to access the associated module.
