Dictating with Diagnosis Dynamic Tags

Diagnosis dynamic tags appear on a job based on the selected diagnosis to capture dictation, and return it to a specific field in NextGen® Enterprise EHR for that diagnosis code. Depending on the diagnosis code entered, up to five dynamic tags types can appear for each diagnosis, including the following: Impression Differential Diagnosis Patient Details (this equates to Plan Details) Provider Details HPI When a provider initiates a job configured with diagnosis dynamic tags, the system checks the diagnosis code for the encounter and displays the configured tags on the dictation job view for the provider to record dictation on the diagnosis. Dictation job with dynamic tags Note: As multiple diagnoses codes can be entered, the tags for each entered diagnosis code are further identified by the specific diagnosis name that appears for the tag type. Dictating with Procedure Dynamic Tags

Procedure dynamic tags appear on your dictation job when you dictate for an encounter that has an ASC-Intake template with the following settings in NextGen® Enterprise EHR: Speciality set to Orthopedic ASC. Visit set to Procedure. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you can add an ASC-Intake template to a patient encounter and select multiple procedures in the template. When you select the relevant encounter and initiate the job type that has Procedure-Details dynamic tag configured for it, all the added procedures appear in NextGen® Mobile. You can select a tag and start dictating. When you send the dictation, the details are updated in the Documentation section of the corresponding ASC-Physician Procedure template in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Working with Dynamic Tags

Dynamic tags appear on the dictation screen dynamically and in real-time based on a specific condition. When the required condition is met for the job, the configured tags appear on the job dictation view like normal tags. Each dynamic tag is linked to a specific field on NextGen® Enterprise EHR or specialty template. The data you enter in each dynamic tag is returned directly to its configured template field. Note: Dynamic tags are configured only for dictation job types and works when you are online. Dictating with Diagnosis Dynamic Tags You can dictate into dynamic tags set for a diagnosis. Dictating with Radiology Dynamic Tags You can dictate into dynamic tags set for NextGen® Orthopedic Suite radiology orders in a Performed status from NextGen® Mobile. Review and Update Mobile Dictation Data

You can review and update the mobile dictation data documented and sent to NextGen® Enterprise EHR through NextGen® Ambient Assist or any dictation software, such as NextGen® Mobile, NextGen® Direct-to-Desktop, or other third-party solutions. On any appropriate template, select the NG Mobile link. The NOS NG Mobile template opens. Note: The NG Mobile link is blue until mobile dictation data is documented. After you enter information on the NOS NG Mobile template and return to the current template, the NG Mobile link turns purple. Review and update the dictation data. Note: To update dictation data in a panel, you can modify the existing data in the field or use My Phrases. Mark Internal Radiology Orders as Performed and Interpreted

After you place internal radiology orders and perform a test, you can update the test details and mark the test is performed and interpreted. Open the Radiology Order Management template. The details of the order you selected for opening the Radiology Order Management template are displayed in their corresponding fields. To update a different order, you can filter the orders displayed in the grid, and then select the order. Optional: Select a modifier. If your practice uses a picture archiving and communication system (PACS), select PACS to open medical images and reports. Note: You can configure the PACS button and the automatic selection of the Interpreted checkbox in the General panel of the Radiology Configuration template. Document Details of Radiology Orders

You can document the details of radiology orders for orthopedic patients. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Single Order. Expand the Radiology panel. Select one of the following options for Performed: Internal Today for radiology tests performed and billed in your practice on the same day. Internal Later for radiology tests performed and billed in your practice on a future encounter. External for radiology tests performed and billed at an external facility. Select the category of the radiology test, performing entity, and performing location. Note: The values in Category and Performing Entity determine the tests in the Radiology Tests grid. Category is set to X-ray unless you remove or rename this category in the Radiology Picklists panel of the Radiology Configuration template.
