Dictating with Diagnosis Dynamic Tags

Diagnosis dynamic tags appear on a job based on the selected diagnosis to capture dictation, and return it to a specific field in NextGen® Enterprise EHR for that diagnosis code. Depending on the diagnosis code entered, up to five dynamic tags types can appear for each diagnosis, including the following: Impression Differential Diagnosis Patient Details (this equates to Plan Details) Provider Details HPI When a provider initiates a job configured with diagnosis dynamic tags, the system checks the diagnosis code for the encounter and displays the configured tags on the dictation job view for the provider to record dictation on the diagnosis. Dictation job with dynamic tags Note: As multiple diagnoses codes can be entered, the tags for each entered diagnosis code are further identified by the specific diagnosis name that appears for the tag type. Dictating with Radiology Dynamic Tags

Radiology dynamic tags appear on a dictation job if a provider dictates against a patient encounter that includes NextGen® Orthopedic Suite radiology orders in the Performed status. Clinics can configure the following dynamic tags for a job type: Impression Findings Comments When a provider initiates a job configured with radiology dynamic tags, the system checks for NextGen® Orthopedic Suite radiology orders for the patient in the Performed status and displays the dynamic tags on the Record view if found. dictation job with radiology dynamic tag After the provider completes the dictation and sends the job to NextGen® Enterprise EHR, the dictated values are saved in the corresponding fields in the NextGen® Orthopedic Suite template. Working with Dynamic Tags

Dynamic tags appear on the dictation screen dynamically and in real-time based on a specific condition. When the required condition is met for the job, the configured tags appear on the job dictation view like normal tags. Each dynamic tag is linked to a specific field on NextGen® Enterprise EHR or specialty template. The data you enter in each dynamic tag is returned directly to its configured template field. Note: Dynamic tags are configured only for dictation job types and works when you are online. Dictating with Diagnosis Dynamic Tags You can dictate into dynamic tags set for a diagnosis. Open the Template Set Associated with Procedure Visit Type

The Procedure visit type of the Ambulatory Surgery specialty allows you to document the patient's procedure and anesthesia details. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To open the Templates module on a patient encounter, do one of the following: On the Categories or Encounter History tab, select Open Template. On Top Toolbar, select Templates. On the main menu, select File > New > Template. The Select Template window opens. In the Show section, select the All option. Select Home Page from the list of Medical Records templates. Select OK.The Home Page template opens. Select the Specialty list and select Ambulatory Surgery from the list.The list opens to select visit type. Note: If applicable, the rendering providers can configure the default visit specialty. Select Procedure from the list. The Home Page - Ambulatory Surgery template opens. Initiate Documentation

The Initiate Documentation button on the Procedure Orders panel adds the documented procedure details to the Documentation Log panel on the ASC - Preprocedure and ASC - Intraprocedure templates of the Procedure visit type, if the case of the encounters is identical. Note: You must map the procedure orders to the entry type, category, and description in the Procedure Orders and Discharge Instructions practice template. Document the Interpreter Details

You can document the answers for the preconfigured questions. When someone interprets communication on-behalf of patient, you can document the interpreter details on the Additional Visit Information template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake template. Expand the General panel. Select the Interpreter Details link.The Additional Visit Information template opens. Additional Visit Information window Select a specialty. Note: By default, Interpreter Details appears in Selected Category. The configured questions for the Interpreter Details category appear in the Pre-configured questions for selected category(s) grid. You can select the Show all answered questions for this encounter checkbox to filter and view the questions that are answered.
