Record Dictation with Tags When the Text Box is Open

Google™ Speech-to-text (STT) in integration with Gemini™ 1.5 Pro model automatically corrects the dictated notes for grammar, punctuation, and formatting errors without disrupting the dictation streaming service.

  1. Open NextGen® Mobile.
  2. Open a dictation job.
  3. Select the tag to dictate into.
    Dictation using tags

If the tag does not contain previously recorded audio, the recording begins immediately, and the StopStart icon appears. If the tag contains previously recorded audio, the RECStop icon appears. You must select the tag again to record.
  4. Begin speaking.
The text capture of your dictation appears in the streaming text box with the Listening message.

If recorded audio exists, the new dictation is added to the end of the recording. If you select anywhere on the text while recording dictation, the text is inserted at the selected location, but the audio is added to the end of the existing audio file.

  5. To stop or pause the recording, select the tag that you are dictating.
The RECStop icon and the time duration of the recording appear. The dictation text is processed, and the text box displays the refined note with the Transcript Complete! message.
  6. To resume dictating in the same tag, select the tag, and resume speaking.
Your new dictation is processed and added to the end of the existing audio recording and text capture.

You can also select another tag to stop recording in the current tag.

  7. To edit your dictation, select the text in the text box and make the necessary changes.
  8. To transmit your job, select Send.
The job appears in the Completed Jobs list. The dictation completion icon appears on the Scheduleview.
