Create and Edit Your Favorite Medication Groups

You can create a medication group with the necessary medications and do the following on existing favorite groups: Create a duplicate medication with different sig details Edit the selected medications sig information Add the selected medication to another group Delete the selected medication from the group Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view for your patient. Select Today's Visit. Note: You must select an unlocked encounter or create an encounter. In NextGen® Mobile, the Medications module is available for NextGen® Enterprise EHR 6.2021.1 and later versions. Select the open icon or View All next to Medications (Rx). In Medications, the patient's active medications appear. Note: The Prescribe New Rx option is available for default provider active encounters. Select Prescribe New Rx, select Favorites, select Add, and then enter the new group name. Select Add medication, search for and select medications, and then select Next. If the ambient assist note is available, you can select medications from the Suggested tab, otherwise you can select medications from the Favorites or Search tab. Open NextGen® Mobile. Edit and Renew Patient Medications

You can edit and renew a patient's medications based on their condition, or you can discontinue a medication or mark it as ineffective in the NextGen® Mobile Medications module. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view for your patient. Select Today's Visit. Note: You must select an unlocked encounter or create an encounter. In NextGen® Mobile, the Medications module is available for NextGen® Enterprise EHR 6.2021.1 and later versions. Select Medications (Rx). In Medications, on the Active tab, select the necessary medication information "" icon, and then select View/Edit or Renew. Select Yes to check the current formulary status of the selected medication. In Drug Alert, review and select Acknowledge next to each interaction, or select Scroll to the bottom and then select Acknowledge All & Continue. You can select a reason from the existing Drug Utilization Review (DUR) reasons, or you can add a reason as a comment to the interaction or to all interactions. You can cancel the

You can select medications from the NextGen® Ambient Assist suggestions, favorite groups, and the main list and send them to a patient's preferred pharmacy in NextGen® Mobile. Renew Medications

In NextGen® Mobile, you can renew medications in the Patient Chart view. When renewing a medication, if your encounter is not the latest one, a message appears prompting you to associate the medication to the encounter existing for the current date. If an encounter does not exist for the current date, a message appears prompting you to create an encounter for the current date and associate the medication to the new encounter. Note: You can renew a Controlled Substances (CS) medication only if you have set up the necessary ePCS permissions. If you have the ePCS permissions but the provider relationship is not set as self in System Administrator, you can renew and save the CS medication but cannot send that medication for prescription.
