Create and Edit Your Favorite Medication Groups

You can create a medication group with the necessary medications and do the following on existing favorite groups:
  • Create a duplicate medication with different sig details
  • Edit the selected medications sig information
  • Add the selected medication to another group
  • Delete the selected medication from the group
  1. Open NextGen® Mobile.
  2. Open the Patient Chart view for your patient.
  3. Select Today's Visit.
  4. Select the open icon or View All next to Medications (Rx).
    In Medications, the patient's active medications appear.
  5. Select Prescribe New Rx, select Favorites, select Add, and then enter the new group name.
  6. Select Add medication, search for and select medications, and then select Next.
  7. In Sig, on the Standard tab, select the necessary patient sig, medication instructions, diagnosis, indications, and prescription details, and then select Save.
    You can select sig text from the FDB (First Databank) default, FDB sig, and custom sig to ensure that patients receive accurate directions for medication use. You can turn on Take as Needed (PRN) if needed.
    The group is added to the Favorites tab.
  8. To edit a medication group, on the Favorites tab, select Edit, and then select a group to edit.
  9. In Edit, select the corresponding medication information icon, and then select the appropriate option.
