Send SOAP Notes

You can complete Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan (SOAP) notes and then send the notes to NextGen® Enterprise EHR. The Google™ Speech-to-Text (STT) tool in integration with the Gemini™ 1.5 Pro model automatically corrects the dictated notes for grammar, punctuation, and formatting errors without disrupting the dictation streaming service. Note: Google™ SRE is available only with an established internet connection and is not currently available for offline use. The transcription system can process and refine only content greater than fifty characters in length. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view. Select Today's Visit. Note: You must add or select an unlocked encounter. Select Dictate.SOAP Note opens. Note: If necessary, you can edit the SOAP settings. To dictate a note, select the SOAP section, and then select the speech icon. Alternatively, you can use the keyboard to enter or edit dictation notes in the SOAP section, and then select Done on the keyboard. Note

Edit SOAP Settings

Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view. Select Today's Visit. Note: You must add or select an unlocked encounter. Select Dictate.SOAP Note opens. Select SOAP Settings, and select the appropriate options. To create macros, do the following: Select Create New Macro. Enter a macro name and macro text. Optional: To turn on NextGen® Ambient Assist macros, select Ambient, and select a mode. Standard adds defined words without additional words outside of dictation. Ambient Complete adds additional words between existing macro text based on context. Note: The added macros are also available in the NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal. Enter the activation phrase to add the macro. Optional: To map a SOAP section to a macro, select SOAP Section. Note: You can select only one SOAP section for a macro. Select Done. Documenting SOAP Clinical Notes

In Today's Visit in Patient Chart, you can select Dictate to document and complete clinical notes. In Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan (SOAP) Notes, you can dictate your notes using a microphone, add blocks of text with documentation accelerators like Copy Forward or Macros, or enter and edit notes using a keyboard. On completing the SOAP notes, you can send the notes to NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Today's visit view You can use SOAP Settings to modify your SOAP sections in SOAP Note. Copy forward button Note: If the device is offline while searching for the past encounter dictation text, a message appears indicating that the device is offline, connect to the internet and try again. Managing Today's Visit

The Today’s Visit workflow provides an intuitive, single-screen for the entire clinical documentation workflow. In the Today's Visit tab on the Patient Chart view, you can review and add clinical documentation to the patient's encounter. You can turn on or turn off the Today's Visit tab in Admin Console and NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal for different product groups in your clinic. Today’s Visit is turned on by default for NextGen® Mobile Pro, NextGen® Mobile Plus, and NextGen® Mobile free users. Today's visit view NextGen® Ambient Assist is integrated with NextGen® Mobile and NextGen® Enterprise EHR for sending notes without having to copy and paste. You can select the feedback Feedback icon icon to enter your comments and submit to the NextGen® Mobile team. You can move this feedback icon to your required position on Today's Visit. Add Documentation in the SOAP Notes

Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view. Select Today's Visit. Note: You must add or select an unlocked encounter. To add narrative documentation through dictation or the keyboard in Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan (SOAP) sections, select Dictate. Note: You can use Dictate only if you have NextGen® Enterprise EHR 5.9.4 or later versions. To use natural conversation between the provider and patient to create a structured SOAP note immediately after the patient visit, select Ambient. Configure the Ability to Copy Comments Forward

For specified visit sets, you can allow therapists to copy forward SOAP (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan) comments, including comments captured from NextGen® Mobile, to the current encounter. Users can copy comments into the Single Visit templates and into the NTS Soap Comments template. Open the NTS Practice Config template, and then scroll to the Review Comments/NG Mobile section. Do one of the following: To create a configuration, select the field below the Visit Set column, and then select a visit set from the list. To modify a configuration, select a visit set in the grid. To allow users in the visit set to copy SOAP comments from past encounters to the current encounter, select Yes for Review Comments Copy Forward. The Get Data button becomes available on all Single Visit templates. Optional: If your practice uses NextGen® Mobile, select Yes for Mobile. This option adds the text "NG Mobile Dictation" to applicable labels on the Single Visit and NTS SOAP Comments templ
