Add Attachments to Charges

You can add up to five images to a charge. You can take a photo with your device, or add an image from your My Content library. Note: If you are an integrated NextGen® clinic user, when you add an image to a charge, the charge is sent to NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal for review. You can review and then enter the charge details to NextGen® Enterprise EHR manually. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view. Patient Chart view Select New Charge in the Charges section. The New Charge view opens. New Charge view Select Attach Image. The Camera Options message appears. To take a photo, do the following: Select Take Photo. Your camera opens. Select the white circle to take the photo, and then do one of the following: To discard the current photo and take another, select Retake. The camera reopens and you can take another photo. Associate Diagnoses to Charges

Any existing diagnosis entered in NextGen® Enterprise EHR for the encounter appear at the top of the view. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view. Patient Chart view In the Charges section, select New Charge. The New Charge view opens. New Charge view Enter the charge details. Select Next. The Associate Dx view opens. Associate Dx view Select Add Diagnosis. The Add Diagnosis view opens. Select a diagnosis from the Previous Patient Diagnosis or Commonly Used Diagnosis section. You can search for a diagnosis by entering your text in Search. The Associate Dx view opens with the selected diagnosis. You can add multiple diagnosis. Select Submit. Suppress Billing or Add Modifiers

Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view. Patient Chart view In the Charges section, select New Charge. The New Charge view opens. New Charge view Note: The Date of Service displays the current date. To select a charge, do one of the following: In the Quick Picks section, select the charge. In the Search New Charges field, enter the name of the charge. The Quick Picks section displays the charges that you have used at least twice for the patient or the charges appropriate for the current location. The selected charge appears under the service date heading. New Charge View with Selected Charge To update the charge details, select Edit. The Charge Details view opens. Charge Details view To suppress billing, select Suppress Billing. To adjust the units, select the value in Units and enter value. You can add comments to charges to provide additional information about the charge. Comments are used for internal purposes only. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view. Patient Chart view In the Charges section, select New Charge. The New Charge view opens. New Charge view Select Add Comment. The Comments view opens. Enter your comments. Select New Charge. Add Charges for Patients

You can search and add charges for a patient. If you are a NextGen® Enterprise user, when you search for a charge, NextGen® Mobile searches your practice's Service Item Master (SIM) library. If you are not a NextGen® Enterprise user, NextGen® Mobile does an IMO code search. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view. Patient Chart view In the Charges section, select New Charge. The New Charge view opens. New Charge view Note: The Date of Service displays the current date. To change the Date of Service, select the date. The calendar opens. You can select a date and then select . Note: You cannot select a future date. To select a charge, select the charge in the Quick Picks section. The Quick Picks section displays either the charges that you have used at least twice for the patient or the charges appropriate for the current location. Add a Charge Note

You can add a note to a charge to provide additional information about the charge. Charge notes are used for internal purposes only and do not appear on claims or statements. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Charges. The Charge Posting window opens. Select the desired patient and encounter. In the charge ledger section at the bottom of the window, select the charge to which a note is to be added. Select Open. In the Notes field, enter a free-text note about the charge. For lengthy notes, select Note . The Charge Notes window opens. In the Note Entry field, enter free-text notes for the charge as needed. Select OK. Parent topic: Enter Charges
