Update a Picklist Item
You can update an active item in a picklist grid, to change how it appears in the picklist.
CAUTION:
You cannot change the
Patient
or
Practice
entries in the
Medication Source
grid, nor the
Private
entry in the
Immunization Source
grid.
Select the item in the grid.
The item text enters the field below the grid.
Select the field to edit the text.
Select
Update
to save the changes.

Add an Item to a Picklist
You can add an item to any grid that is set to Active. This adds the item into the picklist. Select the field below the grid and type the picklist entry. Select Add to save it to the grid. To clear the field, select the Eraser button to the right of the field. Parent topic: Configuring Source Types

Medication Source
Use the Medication Source grid to configure the Source picklist below the Medication Inventory grid in the Inventory Management template. The grid comes pre-loaded with the following sources: 340B (medications tracked/used in the 340B program) Patient (patient-specific medications) Practice (medications billed by the practice) Sample (sample medications) CAUTION: You cannot change the Patient or Practice entries in the Medication Source grid. Immunization Source
Use the Immunization Source grid to configure the Source field picklist for vaccines on the Immunizations Configuration template. The grid comes pre-loaded with the following: 340B (vaccines tracked/used in the 340B program) Private (immunizations billed by the practice) VFC (VaccinesFor Children) CAUTION: You cannot change the Private entry in the Immunization Source grid. Configuring Source Types
You can configure the Source picklist to select the source of medications in your inventory. You can configure the Source picklist used on NextGen® Medication Inventory Control templates in the Source Types panel on the MICS Medication Picklist system template. Source Types panel You can use the Medication Source grid to configure the Source picklist for non-vaccine medications that are added into inventory using the MICS Inventory Management system template. You can use the Immunization Source grid to configure the Source picklist for vaccines that are added into inventory using the MICS Immunizations Configuration system template. You can use the Active and Inactive options to filter the grid content. You can change the status of a picklist value to Active or Inactive using the Toggle button.
