Managing My Phrases and Common Phrases

You can create frequently used phrases for your own use. You can also use phrases available for other users or system set phrases available for all users. You can use the My Phrases feature to save your time to document a patient's history, exams, assessments, and plans of care by adding frequently used phrases. When the My Phrases feature is applicable for a field, the Down Arrow and Plus icons or My Phrases and Manage My Phrases links appear for that field. You can select the icons or links to open the INF MyPhrases Select and INF My Phrases Mng templates respectively. Follow-up Visit Information

You can document follow-up information and timeframe, and that post injection instructions were given in the section below the panels. All these fields are optional. Check the Appropriate post injection instructions given check box. Mark the Schedule follow-up visit check box. Select the Timeframe field and select a timeframe from the picklist. Select the Follow-up with field and select a health care provider from the picklist. In the Reason (s) for next visit section, check the Injection/Aspiration box to indicate another procedure or click in the Other field and enter a different reason. Complete the Template and Submit Charges

When you have documented all procedure information, your final steps are to add any comments, capture any follow-up visit information, and then submit charges. Enter Comments Follow-up Visit Information Submit Charges Update Submitted Injection or Aspiration Details You can update injections or aspirations details even after they are submitted for billing using the admin override functionality. Plan Comments

Use the Comments (Plan) field in the Plan panel to record things such as observations, additional information, instructions, and plans. You can type text into the field or add saved phrases from a “My Phrases” set. For more information, see Add Comments. The Review Comments link above the field opens a window where you can review comments entered in all sections of the patient’s chart. You can also review and copy comments that were captured on previous encounters with that patient. For more information, see Review, Modify, and Copy Comments. Insert Existing Phrases

You can insert existing phrases into a section by using the My Phrases/Common Phrases template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On a template, select the My Phrases/Common Phrases or My Phrases link. The Manage My Phrases/Common Phrases template opens. Select My Phrases or Common Phrases. If required, select the Add phrase on one click check box. Note: When you select the Add Phrase on one click check box, you can insert a phrase in a section or template and the check box remains selected for future encounters until you clear the check box. If you want to select more than one phrases, then you must clear the Add Phrase on one click check box. In the My Phrases grid, select one or more phrases. The selected phrase appears in the Phrase field. Select Insert and Close. The phrase is inserted in the respective section. Parent topic: My Phrases and Common Phrases

Intake Comments

The Intake Comments link in the upper right of the Intake template opens a window where the person handling intake can add notes for others in the practice. Intake Comments link on the Intake template Click the Intake Comments link. The Intake Comments window opens. Type comments in the field. Click Save & Close. The Intake Comments link is now purple.
