Patient Implantable Device Trigger Information

You must select the patient implantable device information on the Implantable Device window to create Patient Implantable Device trigger. Based on the what value you select for Action, the necessary fields remain enabled, and the rest of the fields get disabled. Note: The fields that are associated with the current template are available for selection. If you want to select a field that is not available, you must either create that field on the template or share it from another template. Field Description Action You can select the type of actions, such as Insert, Update, Delete, Remove, Link Procedure, Add Note, or Unlink Procedure. Device ID You can select the Device ID of the implantable device. Description You can select the description of the implantable device. Overview of Patient Implantable Device Trigger

The Patient Implantable Device trigger enables you to insert, update, delete, or remove a patient's implantable device information from a template to the Implantable Device module. The trigger also enables you to link or unlink procedures and add notes to the Implantable Device module. Add Cardiac Device Information

You can search for the cardiac implantable devices and add implantable device information. Before you begin Select the Manual Entry check box in the Device - Card template for the Device/Lead Info link to appear. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In the left Navigation bar, click Device. The Device - Card template opens. Select the appropriate diagnoses from DX1 and DX2. The diagnoses codes have been automatically entered next to the selected diagnosis. Set up Patient Item Trigger

The Patient Item action launches an existing patient chart document or image by its ID for quick viewing without searching the patient's encounter tree. The item can be under any locked or open encounter on the patient's chart. You can launch the following types of patient items: Document Email Document Management (ICS) image Image Patient Education topic Report To use the Patient Item trigger, set up another trigger to assign the specific patient encounter item ID to a template variable or field. For example, you can create a patient document ID variable and a Summary Sheet that displays patient document information. You can then assign the item ID from a Row Selected event/Assign Field Value trigger on the Summary Sheet to the patient document ID variable. You can place the Patient Item trigger on a Medical Records (MR) template, Group MR template or a Sidebar template. Map Implantable Device Details

You can map the existing device details to the Implantable Device module. You can map the unmapped device details on the Card - Implantable Device Mapping template to the Implantable Device module. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To open the Templates module on a patient encounter, do one of the following: On the Categories or Encounter History tab, select Open Template. On Top Toolbar, select Templates . On the main menu, select File > New > Template. The Select Template window opens. In the Show section select All, and click Card - Implantable Device Mapping. You can add the details of the lead of the implanted device. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In the left Navigation bar, click Device. The Device - Card template opens. Click the Device/Lead Info link. The Implant Information - Device/Lead template opens. On the Implant Information - Device/Lead template, select Lead. Lead information on Implant Information - Device/Lead The interface type has been automatically entered. Click the search icon . Search for and select the required implantable device. The Brand Name/Description, Manufacturer, and Model fields have been filled with the details of the selected implantable device.
