Insert a GET Component

You can insert a Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component field on a Medical Records template. You can place one or more GET components on a template. You can hide the component when the template is launched using the Hidden property. For more information on the Graphical Exam Tool component, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Graphical Exam Tool User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Drag the Component icon from the Fields toolbar to the template design area where you want to place it. The Hosted Component Field Properties window opens. In the Field Name text box, enter the name you want to assign. Note: The name GET is reserved for system use and cannot be entered here. From the Component Name list, select GraphExamTool. The Profile Name field and Settings button are enabled. The Settings button enables you to add, update, remove, or view the settings for an existing profile. Insert a Patient Education Component

The Patient Education component enables you to view documents in the chart, save documents to the encounter, remove patient education documents from the cart, print patient education documents, and send documents to NextGen® PxP Portal. This component displays Patient Education documents that were added to the cart using Patient Education Browser. You can insert a Patient Education component field on a Medical Records template. You can place one or more components on a template. You can hide the component when the template is launched using the Hidden property. Insert a Patient Registry Component

The NextGen Care® Population Management Hub enables practices to identify patient populations and perform actions, such as sending communications, based on specific qualifying criteria. The NextGen Care® Population Management Hub makes use of memorized reports to define the criteria and generate a list (or registry) of patients that qualify. You can insert a Patient Registry component field on a practice template. You can hide the component when the template is opened using the Hidden property. Enable the Popup Template OK and Cancel Button Bar

You can show the OK and Cancel button bar instead of the standard OK and Cancel buttons on a Popup template. The button bar keeps the OK and Cancel buttons visible when the template is scrolled at run time. You can map the OK and Cancel buttons on the bar to the original OK and Cancel buttons or to other buttons on the Popup template to execute the trigger from the button it is mapped to. You can place the OK and Cancel button bar on any Popup template type. You can display both a navigation bar and the OK and Cancel button bar on the same Popup template. Note: If you map the OK button on the bar to the original OK button, the Popup template is saved and closed when the user selects OK. If you map the OK button to another button, set up a Save &Close Template trigger on that button. If you map buttons other than the original OK and Cancel buttons to the bar, you can hide them by selecting the Hidden check box in the field's property window or using a Hide Item trigger. Insert a Button Field

Drag the Button icon from the Fields toolbar to the template design area where you want to place it. The Insert a Button window opens. In the Caption box, enter the text to appear on the button. You can enter the % symbol in the Caption box to replace the numeric values. The % takes the value from the start number and number of buttons. Note: Instead of entering the caption here, you can use in-place caption editing to enter the caption directly in the field after you have created it. To reposition and resize the field on the template, do the following: Enter the appropriate numeric values to replace the current vertical and horizontal coordinates in the Position boxes. Enter the appropriate numeric values to replace the current dimensions displayed in the Size boxes. To apply a style to the button, select the applicable check boxes under Styles. You can use this field to host one of the following components on a template at run time: Communication Graphical Exam Tool (GET) Patient Registry (NextGen Care® Population Management Hub) Patient Education Stored Procedure Exporter XProvider Search This component enables a provider to search the NextGen Share network of providers and send a referral through the network to a selected provider. Note: To employ the search and transmit referral functions, the provider must be registered with the network, and the functionality must be activated for the practice.
