View the Reason for a Lab Order Failure

If a lab order is created and it fails, the Result Status on the Order is Sent Failed. An order can fail because the system can't find a match for the provider, patient, location, practice, or other patient and encounter detail.

  • To view a tooltip with the reason for the failure, put your cursor in the Result Status column on the Orders Summary tab and select one of the Sent Failed messages.
