Displaying Status and Date in Grid Results

When committing the results, the date and time the message was received by the interface is used for the lab (order) results. The Status in a data grid always show the status from the latest processed set of results. For example, if Final results were processed first and Preliminary results were processed second, the Result Status for the order shows up as Preliminary because these results were processed first. View the Reason for a Lab Order Failure

If a lab order is created and it fails, the Result Status on the Order is Sent Failed. An order can fail because the system can't find a match for the provider, patient, location, practice, or other patient and encounter detail. To view a tooltip with the reason for the failure, put your cursor in the Result Status column on the Orders Summary tab and select one of the Sent Failed messages. Parent topic: Grid Results Tab

The Grid Results tab has two sections: Reported panels and Reported results. The following toolbar selections are available. Option Description Reported panels: includes the status, collection date and any related comments. Refresh Refreshes the display of test results. Delete Panel Deletes the selected results panel. Reported results for: includes the result, unit, any flags, range, observation date and any related comments. Delete Result Deletes the result for a selected test. Order Result Statuses for Other Test Processing Events or Issues

For lab or radiology test orders sent to a performing entity, you can track the current state of test processing or issues that arise by the description shown in the Result Status column on the Orders Summary grid. The following table provides possible processing events or issues that may affect a lab or radiology order and the result status description. If you select order statuses manually from the Result Status list on the Orders Summary Results panel for a new test order, the Orders Summary grid displays the status you selected. The Orders module does not automatically generate the status. Order Test Processing Event or Issue Result Status A test order with erroneous information has been sent from the performing entity. Once corrected, the system sends the order again with the corrected result. Corrected The performing entity has received the order, but the results are not yet final. View Lab and Diagnostic Orders

You can view the diagnostics, lab orders, and office services of a patient. Open the Lab and Diagnostic Review template. Lab and Diagnostic Review template In the Lab and Diagnostic Orders section, select the order type. The available orders for the selected order type appear in the grid. If you select All Orders, the details of each order appear in the grid.
