Search Log Files

You can search log files to find specific information by date range, level, or message content. Near the top of the Data Share pane, select Open EHR Data Share Log File.The Log Viewer opens. Search Criteria in Log Viewer Choose one or more search criteria: Date Time From or Date Time To To adjust the date or time, select a date or time segment (month, day, year, and so on), and then select the up or down keys. Manually enter the date or time. To display a calendar and select the date, select the down arrow . Level: Select one of the following options: Administrative: Displays changes and modifications made by system administrator accounts. Critical: Displays critical errors that typically indicate that an application or system has failed or stopped responding. Debug: Displays informational events that are used to debug an application. Error: Displays all error events, including critical and fatal. Fatal: Displays events that presumably cause the application to stop. Info: Displays info

View Data Share Module Log Files

You can troubleshoot issues by using the log viewer in the Data Share module . As the Data Share module log files are encrypted, you can view them only using the Data Share module . If needed, you can find events by date range, level, or content. Near the top of the Data Share pane, select Open EHR Data Share Log File . The Log Viewer window opens. EHR DataShare Log Viewer Do any of the following: To sort the data in ascending or descending order, select a column header. To update the file, select the refresh Refresh icon. As all files are encrypted, you must view them using the Log Viewer in the Data Share module . The current log file is named EhrNextGen.log. The log file path is \NextGen\LogFiles on the drive where the Data Share module is opened, for example, C:\NextGen\LogFiles. If the folder does not exist, it is automatically created. Open the CDA Viewer During a Data Share Module Import

In the Data Share module, you can open the CDA Viewer to view a document after an import. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Data Share Module User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and load a patient. On the quick buttons panel, select Data Share icon. In the Data Share pane, select the Search tab. Expand the Endpoints list, and select all the endpoints that you want to search. Select Initiate Search. In the Completed pane, select an entry in the Search Date column. Search Date on the Search Tab A document list pane opens on the right. Document List Pane To view any single document, select the value in the Title column. The document opens in the CDA Viewer.
