Create Order Instance for a Practice

On the AutoReleaseForm window, you can create an order instance for your practice to release orders automatically based on the scheduled time and due date parameters. However, you must restart the Windows Service after the addition or change of instances. Select Start , and enter Command Prompt. Right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as administrator. The Administrator: Command Prompt window opens. Enter the appropriate directory to change to the NextGen root folder. Note: Ensure that your changed directory has the NextGen root folder. In Command Prompt, enter NextGen.EMR.Lab.AutoRelease.exe "1". Command Prompt with NextGen Directory Note: The parameter 1 is passing for invoking the Auto Release Utility user interface. Manage Order Instances

You can view the practice and process time of an instance and you can also deactivate, update, and delete order instances in the AutoReleaseForm window. However, you must restart the Windows Service after the addition or change of instances. Note: If you stop the Windows Service, it stops all instances that are scheduled to release that day, not just the specific instance. Even if you have resumed the service, if the instance time has expired then the instance does not get released. If you use the Run Now option to execute the instance on demand, the executed orders also may get re-executed, resulting in duplicate orders. Select Start , and enter Command Prompt. Run the Order Instance on Demand

After you set up the Auto Release Utility, you can release future and recurring orders on demand. Select Start , and enter Command Prompt. Right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as administrator. Set up the Auto Release Utility Windows Service

Before you begin You must install and configure the Microsoft Message Queue (MSMQ) to set up the Auto Release Utility for your practice. If your super UserId and PracticeId are not zeros, you must update your current values in NextGen.EMR.Lab.AutoRelease.exe.config file of the NextGen root folder. You can set up the Auto Release Utility Windows Service on your system to automatically release the orders. Note: If you have not installed the MSMQ, the system displays an error while setting up the Auto Release Utility Windows Service. Select Start , and enter Command Prompt. Right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as administrator. The Administrator: Command Prompt window opens. Enter the appropriate directory to change to the NextGen root folder. Update the Orders Auto Release Details

You can update the practices and process time for an active instance on the Detailswindow. Open Orders Auto Release utility. From the Instance list, select the Instance name (user defined). Select Deactivate. A confirmation window opens. Select Yes. The Security Logon window opens. Enter your User ID, Password, and Domain associated with your Windows® log on credentials. The Auto Release Form window opens. Note: The Instance Application Status fields are now blank. To update the time or change the practice for an instance, select Details. The Details window opens. View the Orders Auto Release Details

You can view the Practices and Process Time for an Instance. However, if an Instance is activated, you must deactivate it to view this information on the Details window. Refer to the following procedure for the detailed steps. From the Windows® System Tray/Notification area, double-click the NextGen EHR Orders Auto Release utility icon. In the Instance list, select the appropriate Instance Name (that is, user-defined name). If the Instance is inactive (Application Status fields are blank), go to Step 5. If the Instance is active (Application Status fields are populated) do the following: Select Deactivate. A confirmation window opens. Select Yes. The Security Logon window opens.
