View Deleted Medication Allergy

Status of a Deleted Allergy

The Clinical Status and the Verification Status of a deleted allergy change as per the option you select in the Delete Record window while deleting the allergy. If you select the Delete and mark item "Inactive" option on the Delete Record window and delete an allery, the Clinical Status changes to Inactive, and the Verification Status remains same as in the Medication Allergies module. If you select the Delete and mark item "Entered in Error" option on the Delete Record window and delete an allergy, the Clinical Status becomes blank, and the Verification Status changes to Entered in Error. Delete Medication Allergy

Before you begin Ensure the encounter that you select to open Medication Allergies module is unlocked. If you need to delete a medication allergy assigned to a locked encounter, you must create either a custom or a new encounter and add a new allergy with the modifications to an existing allergy. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Medication Allergies module for the selected patient. Select the allergy you want to delete from the module grid and select Delete. The Delete Record window opens displaying the confirmation message. Do one of the following: You can select Delete and mark item "Inactive" if you want to make the allergy inactive. You can select Delete and mark item "Entered in error" for an allergy that is incorrectly added by provider. Select Yes to delete the allergy. Select No or close the window to cancel the deletion. Remove an Allergy

You can remove an allergy and enter the reason for the removal. Select an allergy in the Allergies grid. Click Remove. Remove allergies from the Allergies grid Entered in error- the allergy was entered in error in the Medication Allergy module. Disproved- the allergy is disproved in the Medication Allergy module. Resolved- the allergy is resolved, with today’s date as the resolved date in the Medication Allergy module. The Reason picklist opens with a list of reasons for removing the allergy. Select a reason.
