Results Toolbar

Option	Description
View Results by	Provides a selection list to view the results from various tests by lab short description, lab long description, or NextGen compendium description.
Resources	Provides links to website resources set up in File Maintenance for external patient education, clinical decision support, and external provider reference.
Show Only Results	Opens only tests that have results. The result values are not grouped by the test or panel name. You can set up a user preference to View Results Only in the Orders section of the General tab in the Preferences window in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For more information on setting up this preference, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Layout and Preferences Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
Hide Imported Results	Hides the imported results and displays only the NextGen® Enterprise EHR results.
Refresh	Refreshes the contents of the current page.
Graph	Creates a graph from the values for instances of the same test done on a patient on different dates.
Go To Order	Opens the order and result details for a selected test on the Orders Summary tab.
Tracking	Opens the Sign-off and Tracking Comments window where you can view or add comments for a test result.
Reconcile	Opens the Clinical Reconciliationwindow where you can reconcile patient's results.

Open Website Resources

Before you begin Ensure that you have set up the website URL in the Practice Preferences > Resources > Orders in File Maintenance. Note: For provider reference resource, you can set up the website URL as a NextGen® Enterprise EHR user preference in Tools > Preferences > Reference > Order Module - Lab Results. The user-level website URL configuration overrides the practice-level configuration. You can open specific website resources for patient education, clinical decision support, or provider reference. Note: For more information on setting up website URLs in Practice Preferences, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Orders Module Setup Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR and select a patient. Open the Orders module and select the Results tab. In the results details, select the result value for the collection date and time. The Results toolbar displays the options to select. The Results toolbar has the following options. You can view the same options when you right-click in the Results grid. Completed Results Tab View

From the Results tab, you can do the following: View completed lab test results by their short, long, or NextGen description in a flow sheet format. View results for all orders using the pre-defined All filter or view only results for orders displayed in a user-defined private or practice filter. Display results for similar tests together on the flow sheet using LOINC codes. Assign delegates to view confidential lab results. View or add comments for order results. View Lab Results

Before you begin You must ensure that you have the necessary access rights in System Administrator for the Orders Module. For more information on user access rights, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest System Administrator Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. You can view the results of a patient's laboratory tests. Additionally, you can open the Orders Module and view the order details associated with a result. For more information on the Orders Module, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Orders Module User Guide forNextGen®Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. On the Quick Buttons panel, select Lab Results.The Review Patient Results window opens displaying a report of all completed laboratory tests in a flow sheet format, that includes the date and time of the specimens associated with an order collected,test name, and result for the test name. View the Clinical Reconciliation Results Tab

You can view the lab results in the Clinical Reconciliation window which allows you to reconcile patient's results. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient. From the View menu, select Clinical Reconciliation. The Clinical Reconciliation window opens. In the Documents pane, select the C-CDA document. In the Import tab, select Results. The results are grouped based on the order number and date and time and displays the following columns: component name, result, units, reference range, abnormal flags, observation date/time, status, comments, and source. The values of the selected C-CDA documents appears in the Import section. The EHR section displays the results if it has the result value and the status is final or corrected.
