Field	Description
Description	To enter a description for this notification. Sample: Quest-Results. This field is a list.
External System ID	To select a test system, such as Labcorp or Quest Diagnostics from the list.
Provider ID	To select an available provider to be notified of these order results. This field is a list.
Location ID	To select an internal location. This field is a list.
Effective Dates	To enter the effective Start Date and End Date for the test result notification of selected users.
Notify Users	Displays a list of users selected for notification of test results.
Add	To open the Address Book window where you can add users to be notified.
Delete	To remove users selected in the Users list.
Clear All	To remove all users in the Users list.
Note	Enter any additional information.

Define Order Result Notifications

The Order Results Notifications master file provides a complete list of users to be notified of test results from a particular external lab system. To define Order result notifications: From the application launcher, select File Maintenance > Master Files > System > Order Result Notifications.The Order Result Notifications List window opens. From the List access box, do one of the following: To add a new item, select open menu , and then select New. To modify an item, select the item in the list, select open menu , and then select Open. You can also double-click the item to open it. The Add Order Test Results Notification Information window opens. Enter the notification information. To add a user to be notified, select Add. The Address Book window opens. Under Show Users From, select the practice from which you want to select users. Under Available Users and Groups, select the users or groups you want to have notified of test results. The available Users list displays every user in the

Define Critical Result Ranges

You can define a range of results for each type of test order. Then, when results are recorded for test orders that are outside of the normal range, an alert appears. You must have permissions set up in System Administrator to set up and change alert settings. On the Orders Summary tab, select an order that has results with a status of Final. To expand the Results panel, select the down arrow. From the Results toolbar, select Setup. The vendors list is displayed from the external system table. The entity that performed the test is the default vendor. The list is associated with a specific vendor, such as Labcorp® or Quest Diagnostics®. The vendors list is provided by a system table and is loaded with NextGen® Enterprise EHR. The list is updated, when needed, by NextGen Healthcare. Select the vendor from the Please select vendor list. A list of all result components for that vendor appears. If the vendor is not set up with any components, the Components list is empty.
