Define Order Result Notifications

The Order Results Notifications master file provides a complete list of users to be notified of test results from a particular external lab system.

To define Order result notifications:

  1. From the application launcher, select File Maintenance > Master Files > System > Order Result Notifications.
    The Order Result Notifications List window opens.

  2. From the List access box, do one of the following:
    • To add a new item, select Open Menu , and then select New.
    • To modify an item, select the item in the list, select Open Menu , and then select Open. You can also double-click the item to open it.
    The Add Order Test Results Notification Information window opens.

  3. Enter the notification information.
  4. To add a user to be notified, select Add.

    The Address Book window opens.

  5. Under Show Users From, select the practice from which you want to select users.
  6. Under Available Users and Groups, select the users or groups you want to have notified of test results.
    The available Users list displays every user in the system and the available Groups list displays only the work groups established in NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
  7. Select the right-arrow to add the selected users to Message Receipts List.
  8. To remove users from notification, select them under Message Receipts list, then select the Left arrow.
  9. Select OK to return to the Add/Modify Order Test Results Notification Information window.
  10. If you want to hide the item in the list, select the Hide check box.
  11. Do one of the following:
    • Select Next to add another item.
    • Select OK to return to the List Access window.
