The TX Text viewer enables you to attach an addendum to a signed-off patient document, if you have permission to do so. You can attach multiple addendums to a single patient document. The addendum feature is not available in the HighEdit or Word Application viewer.
Note: You can attach an addendum to a third-party patient document after you sign off on it. If an update is received for the patient document, and document archiving is enabled, the updated document is sent to the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager. The update does not automatically overwrite the original document and any attached addendum. From NextGen Clinical Message Manager, you can manually commit the updated document to NextGen® Enterprise EHR as a new document in the patient chart.
