Add Comments for a New Immunizations Order

You can add comments to new Immunizations order when selecting vaccines or administering an Immunizations order. When creating the Immunization order (on the Select Vaccines tab or the Vaccine Details tab), select the Tracking tab. The tracking comments tab opens. To add a comment, select Add. The Sign-off and Tracking Comments window opens. Select the comment type (Sign-off or Tracking) and enter your comments. If you have created My Phrases, select My Phrases to select a phrase from the list. To save your comments, select Save or Save & Task to send the comments to the appropriate user or group. You can add and track comments for orders throughout the Immunizations order process. Note: After an Immunization within an order is signed-off by selecting Sign-off from the Immunization or Order Summary tab, you cannot add any additional Sign-off comments. The Sign-Off and Tracking Comments section on the Orders Summary tab displays a comment indicating which Immunizations have been Signed-off. You can, however, add tracking comments by accessing the Sign-off and Tracking Comments window. You can add comments to existing Immunizations order by accessing the Orders module Orders Summary tab. Select an Immunizations order from the Orders Summary tab. Do one of the following: Select Tracking from the toolbar. Right-click an Immunizations order, and select Tracking from the list. The Sign-off and Tracking Comments window opens. Any previous comments dispalys in the window. To add comments, select Add. Select the comment type (Sign-off or Tracking). If you have created My Phrases, select My Phrases to select a phrase from the list. To save your comments, select Save or Save & Task to send the comments to the appropriate user or group. Automatic Order Tracking Comments

Your practice can select the Automatic Order Tracking Comments practice preference to display system-generated comments in the Sign-off and Tracking Comments window for various Orders and Immunizations actions. For example, the system can display comments when an order is sent successfully through an interface, registry, or exported to Patient Portal.
