To track the life cycle of an immunization order, you can view a patient’s immunization information on the Orders Summary tab, such as Performing Entity, Encounter Date, NextGen Status, Provider, and Immunizations description. The NextGen Status column enables you to track the Immunization Order life cycle.
- Ordered: The Immunization Order has been ordered and saved.
- Partial: Not all of the vaccines within a group of Immunization orders have been administered or have completed the Immunizations life cycle, that is, as least one order is still Pending.
- Complete: The Immunization order is completed. No order is pending and the Immunizations Orders can have any of the following statuses: Administered, Partially Administered, Refused, or Entered in Error.
Note: If an Immunization order has been successfully administered, the status for the Immunization displays as Administered on the Vaccine Details tab and in the Description column on the Orders Summary tab. If a patient receives more than one vaccine in an Immunization order during a patient visit, each individual vaccine status displays (in parenthesis) in the Description column on the Orders Summary tab.
- Signed-Off: The provider has signed off the Immunization order.
