Edit an External Order from the Outside Diagnostic Study Grid

You can edit and manage External orders placed on the Radiology Order and Single Order templates on the Radiology Order Management template. Select an External order in the grid and click Edit below the Outside Diagnostic Studies grid. The Radiology Order Management template opens. Click the Original Report Findings link to view the original report findings, if applicable. If the provider has read the report, they can enter their findings in the Findings and Impressions fields. Note: Findings and impressions entered here do not go to the Order module and is only available in the NextGen® Orthopedic Suite. Click Update. Click Close. Parent topic: Outside Diagnostics Studies

Selecting Tests and Entering Test Details

When you create a new order or update an order, the following panels appear on the Create New Lab Order, Create New Radiology Order, Update Lab Order, and Update Radiology Order windows on the Select Tests tab. Update Radiology Orders Placed through NextGen® Mobile or the Order Module

You can update the type and category of radiology orders placed through NextGen® Mobile or the Order module. On the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Radiology Order. The Radiology Order template opens. Select the message indicating reviewing the orders. Radiology Orders to Update section on the Radiology Order template Select the order from the Radiology Orders to Update grid. Mark Radiology Orders as Scheduled in the Radiology Order Management Template

After you place a radiology order to be performed in your practice or at an external facility in the future, you can add the authorization number and schedule the test. Open the Radiology Order Management template. The details of the order you selected for opening the Radiology Order Management template are displayed in their corresponding fields. To update a different order, you can filter the orders displayed in the grid, and then select the order. Do one of the following: To obtain the authorization number from NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Get, and then select the authorization number. To manually enter the authorization number, enter the number in Authorization Number. Note: Authorization numbers manually entered do not appear in NextGen® Enterprise PM. To obtain authorization from another user, select the task icon, and then assign a task. Optional: To clear an incorrect authorization number, select the erase icon. Place Orders with My Plan

On the My Plan template, highlight an assessment in the upper left of the template in the Today's Assessments grid. Select the check boxes corresponding to items to be ordered. To select an order item not displayed: Click the down-arrow of an available field in the appropriate order type section to open a list of all items available in the system for that order type. Locate the item you want to order in the list, highlight it and click OK. The selected item appears in the field. Select the check box corresponding to the item to order it. Click Place Order.When you place orders for labs and radiology diagnostic studies, you or someone from your office must process and submit them to the Order module. Click the Lab/Diagnostics/Radiology Order Module Processing link found in the lower right corner of the template to launch the Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template. Process Lab Orders

You can process lab orders from the Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Checkout template. Expand the Today's Orders panel. Select the Lab/Radiology Order Processing link.The Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template opens. Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template Select Labs or Radiology. Select the Vendor field, and select the vendor name from the list. Select the Unsubmitted option. In the Today's Orders grid, select the row for the order.The Include selected order button appears. To move the order to the Orders for Selected Vendor section, select Include selected order. To answer any questions associated with the orders, select AOE.
