Using the Orders Summary Tab

The Orders Summary tab provides order information in the following panels: Orders panel. View, update, and track existing orders and create orders for the current patient. Results panel. View test results from an interface or manually enter test results and related documents for the current patient. This panel is collapsed when you open the Orders Summary tab, but you can expand it to view its contents. Sign-off and Tracking Comments panel. View and add order tracking or sign-off comments. This panel is collapsed when you open the Orders Summary tab, but you can expand it to view its contents. Orders Summary Panel Components Pre-defined Orders Summary Filters You can select orders to view the order type. Using the Results Panel

You can perform the following actions in the Results panel on the Orders Summary tab: Enter test results coming in with an interface using the Formatted Results, Grid Results, or Documents, Images, and URLs tabs. Manually enter results using the New Results Entry tab. Manually enter related documents using the New Document and Images Entry tab. View and add tracking comments. Send lab results to NextGen® PxP Portal. The actions available on the Results panel toolbar change depending on which type of results are being viewed or created. When you create a new order or update an order, the following panels appear on the Create New Lab Order, Create New Radiology Order, Update Lab Order, and Update Radiology Order windows on the Select Tests tab. Add Orders Summary Filter Descriptions for Lab and Radiology Tests

To open the Set Orders Summary Filters window if it is closed, do one of the following: On the Filters bar in the Orders panel of the Orders Summary tab, select the filter you created and applied or saved, and then select Manage Filters. On the Filters bar in your custom Practice template with an Orders Management order control, select the filter you created and applied or saved, and then select Manage Filters. On the Set Orders Summary Filters window, select the Data 3 tab. Do the following in the Enter test description to filter section: To add a test description, enter the description in the first text box, and select Add Test. The test description appears in the second text box. To update the test description, select it, and then select Update Test. Edit the description. To delete the test description, select it, and then select Delete Test. To filter tests by the exact test description, select the Match exact names only check box. To apply or save and apply the filter, select Appl
