View or Add Comments for an Updated Order
When you update an existing lab or radiology order, you can add and view comments. Select the Tracking tab at the bottom of the Update Lab Order window or Update Radiology Order window. The comments window opens. Select Add . The Sign-off and Tracking Comments window opens. Select Tracking as the comment Type. Enter a comment regarding the order. If applicable, select My Phrases to select an appropriate phrase. Do one of the following: To simply save the comments, select Save. If you add comments that require another user or group to perform a task, select Save & Task and select the recipient. Add or View Order Result Comments
You can view and add comments for an order test result. On the Results grid, select a patient’s numerical test result in a Collection Date & Time column. Select Tracking from the Results toolbar. You can view any comments that were entered previously. To add a comment, select Add. Another Sign-off and Tracking Comments window opens, displaying the patient's information. Select Tracking as the comment Type. Enter a comment regarding the order results. If applicable, select My Phrases to select an appropriate phrase. Do one of the following: To simply save the comments, select Save. If you add comments that require another user or group to perform a task, select Save & Task and select the recipient. Using the Orders Summary Tab
The Orders Summary tab provides order information in the following panels: Orders panel. View, update, and track existing orders and create orders for the current patient. Results panel. View test results from an interface or manually enter test results and related documents for the current patient. This panel is collapsed when you open the Orders Summary tab, but you can expand it to view its contents. Sign-off and Tracking Comments panel. View and add order tracking or sign-off comments. Add Sign-off Comments for Lab or Radiology Orders from the Orders Summary Tab
You can add sign-off comments to an order at any point in the order life cycle, such as when creating or updating an order. After an order is signed off, you can still add tracking or additional sign-off comments. The system also displays any sign-off comments that a provider entered in the PAQ. You can also add sign-off comments from a custom practice template with an Orders Management order control. On the Orders Summary tab, select an order without a Signed-off status on the grid. To add a comment, select the Tracking tab. The Sign-off and Tracking Comments window opens. To indicate the type of comment, select Sign-off. Enter your comments for the order. If applicable, select My Phrases to select an appropriate phrase. Do one of the following: To simply save the comments, select Save. If you add comments that require another user or group to perform a task, select Save & Task and select the recipient. If you are using the Sign-off button in the Orders module to complete a sign-off a
